I like that MOST people I talk to when playing online are cool. Some folks have shared some funny rock stories. Noone has called me (or anyone) a f*g or m*therf*cker yet. Alot of people cheer and congratulate each other when we win a song...
It's nice to finally have ONE game on the 360 where I actually want to use the headset to listen to people!!!

That's awesome to hear. I rarely bother using my headset when playing games for the same reason you stated. I guess it goes to show how much the Rock Band community rocks!

I have had a few times where someones mic is feeding back like crazy...does that happen in other games, or only Rock Band?

I haven't played online yet, but I hope that people aren't like the couple of jerk-offs I played GHIII against. I guess having to work together kinda prevents you from doing things like an Expert player dropping down to Easy just to win a battle. Here's to hoping the RB community isn't full of d-bags.

Agreed! All my online experiences so far have been positive ones.
I hate, loathe, despise, and above all AVOID the typical trash-talking trash you get on X-Box Live. I've always said I'd love to be a gamer if not for other gamers and that's in its truest form there. I'm rarely a master of any game, and since online is a 457% competitive atmosphere, I get chewed out left and right.
But... not so with Rock Band. We're hanging together instead of fighting each other, and it changes the atmosphere considerably. I've yet to see anybody complain if one player uses a lower difficulty (having no score-whore achievements'll do that) and whenever someone does some amazing solo, congradulations are all around after.
I hope things stay this way. I want to enjoy this game online for months to come, perhaps years. If we can keep the arrogant bastards away, this dream will become reality.

yep for Guitar Hero 3 we started a 30+ year old or older tour group and we've yet to encounter a single douchebag within the group (and we lock out all the kiddies that love to tell us 129 different ways to go shag our mothers).
Haven't actually played RB online yet, been playing BWT with my gf since early this afternoon, but a lot of our GH3 tour group guys already have RB and we are working on getting together as soon as Harmonix gets a patch out some day to make BWT work online ;)
