Sure, The Electric Version was a huge step, but these guys are simply AMAZING, and personally i would have picked much better songs.
From Mass Romantic:
Mass Romantic
The Fake Headlines
The Slow Descent Into Alcoholism
Jackie
Letter From An Occupant
From Electric Version:
The Laws Have Changed
Loose Translation
Chump Change
The New Face Of Zero And One
Testament To Youth In Verse
It's Only Divine Right
From Twin Cinema:
Twin Cinema
Use It
The Bleeding Heart Show
Jackie, Dressed In Cobras
Sing Me Spanish Techno
Star Bodies
From Challengers:
My Rights Versus Yours
All The Old Showstoppers
Myriad Harbour
Unguided
Entering White Cecilia
Mutiny, I Promise You
Adventures In Solitude
Let's work together to get one of the greatest and most under-appreciated bands out there back onto Rock Band!
Post ideal setlists or track packs, or just show your support! Thanks again!

If their songs sound similar to Electric Version, then sure I can do with some more songs from them

Oh, you're in for a treat then!
Check out the album "Electric Version"! It's chock-full of the very same power pop bliss!

The ideal New Pornographers 3-pack would have to include Miss Teen Wordpower, Use It, and Sing Me Spanish Techno. I wish it would include The Bleeding Heart Show, because that's my favourite song by them and the last two minutes of it are amazing, but everything up to those two minutes... not so Rock Band-y.

that's what i was worried about... but hey, for a song this AMAZING i'd let it slide....
and the drums DO kick in at about 1:15...
y'know come to think of it, this definitely could work. People are obsessed with the instrumentation, but since this is Rock Band, vocals should be just as important. this song is Vocal-centric, whereas others focus on drums or the like.
And hey, this'll make up for YYZ... (which, at last check, had NO VOCALS WHATSOEVER.)

Then again, i hear they're starting to offer certain tracks with no DRUMS at all, so this would be even more possible, eh?

yes! Love this band. I've been hollering for the complete 'Electric Version' album since launch.
"All Things That Go To Make Heaven and Earth" has been rumored to be in the 20 free songs for awhile now, so maybe there's hope to get more of their songs.

I support this thread, and I'm also cheering for it to be Neko fronted songs. She makes the band that much better.

She has a beautiful voice, no doubt about it.
Her solo stuff (specifically Fox Confessor) is great as well.

I'd love to see From Blown Speakers as a DLC.
Has there been any talk about adding background vocals to RB? Almost a must for NP.

y'know, it's funny i was discussing background vox and i brought up the NPs as a perfect example of how the songs would work.

Anything by The New Pornographers would make me happy. All of it would make me happier.

In light of the new keyboard charting, I hereby revive this thread to show a perfect band to make use of it. :D
