Last night I realized something. Chuck is my favorite show on Television. I had a sneaking suspicion for a while that this was happening... but there was a moment of pure revelation last night that made me admit it to myself.

It wasn't the revealing of Sarah's true name (or true fake name); It wasn't seeing nerdy high school Sarah... it wasn't even seeing "Mad Dog Carmichael's face"... although that was still awesome...

No, it was seeing the straight faced Adam Baldwin... as a DJ, raising the roof.

So, I admit it. I love Chuck.

There's no shame in loving that show. I've loved it since I started watching about midway through last season. It has a wonderful cast of characters, the humor is clever without being overly nerdy, the writing is solid, and the casting is great. Not to mention the writers are really playing the sexy card with Sarah this season.

As a Firely fan, Adam Baldwin as Casey makes me happy. The poor ratings, however, sadden me. Because either they will resort more and more to guest actors to draw viewers (John Laroquette was good, Nicole Ritchie was annoying), or the show won't see a third season, or both.

See, I didn't mind Nicole Richie (not that I know anything about her - I avoid all pop culture crap like the plague; the only bit of it I know is because of the Soup); And I think she went above and beyond her stereotype as a terrible no talent ass clown, just like how Britney Spears did on How I Met Your Mother.

I'm not at all ashamed that I like Chuck. It's a brilliant show. I think it doesn't get noticed much; it and Reaper (another maligned show that I wish Sci-Fi channel would pick up rather than it being a part of the CW mid-season replacement graveyard) were my favorite new shows last season. Everything about the show is awesome, and I'm always left feeling entertained after watching it.

True, Ritchie's performance could have been a lot worse. I guess I'm more concerned with what it represents - the idea that the show needs recognizable guest stars to attract viewers. I suppose if it's necessary to keep the show on the air, I'd rather see that than see it get cancelled. The fact that Heroes is way down ratings-wise doesn't help any.

yeah, i love Chuck. been watching since it came out. I almost gave up on it. The first couple episodes were so plagued by over the top technobabble, i almost didn't give it a chance. I am glad i did.

last week, the best part of the episode was seeing Anna Wu beat that football guy with a tripod (she's hot). This episode was seeing sarah and [nicole ritchie] fight it out in the showers. . . mmmMMmmm. I don't like nicole ritchie at all but that scene was well worth it. The "mad dog" parts were pretty funny too. i even love "Captain awesome". . i think he's hilarious. I think Chuck's sister is the weakest link but still decent. . .

Chuck is definitely in my top 5 shows right now. Not much can top Dexter though. . . not yet anyway.

hmm if i had to rank. . .

1. Dexter
2. Pushing Daisies
3. Chuck
4. Sarah Conner Chronicles (Canon aside, it is a pretty solid show)
5.The Office

Chuck rules, might just be my favorite show on TV. Dexter, Weeds, Entourage, Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, and The Shield are really the only other TV shows I watch.
