Missing vocal arrow

Since buying RB2 this weekend, everything's working except for the absent vocal arrow, which refuses to make an appearance no matter what I do. Any ideas? Seems an odd glitch, and not a common one.

I have had the same issue. When I got my first RB2 set for the 360 the mic never worked unless I screamed in the mic at the top of my lungs. I returned it and got another RB2 set for the 360 again. This one worked for about an hour and then I got a weird shacky arrow glitch where it just randomly moved on the screen and didn't pick up my voice at all. I plan on returning it again today and getting a third RB set. All the sets are the whole instrument set from best buy for the 360

Are you using a USB hub to connect your mic to your system? I had this issue with my mic plugged into the hub, but it went away when I plugged directly into the USB port on my PS3. Just a thought...

I'm having a similar issue. I bought RB2 today, and the arrow just doesn't show up 70-80% of the time. The mic seems to work 100% of the time (I can hear myself), but the game doesn't register the sound and I fail every song within 30 seconds.

Never had this happen before today. Did the esl today and got to "let there be rock" by ac/dc and poof the vocal arrow disappeared and stayed gone for the remainder of the endless setlist. I still made it to the end but it was the weirdest thing. Has this happened to anyone? Was wondering if it was a glitch
