Just thought I would give a big thankyou to everyone at Harmonix for all their hard work with this game. I was thoroughly excited before I got it, but that doesn't compare to my excitement now that I have it! I can honestly say that this is the best video game I have ever played, despite it's minor equipment/operational problems. Everyone giving Harmonix a hard time about these problems should realize how much work was actually put into this game, and then be more thankful that things aren't more screwed up, and believe that things will eventually be fixed. On a side note, nice to see another Sean in a position of power! Catch you all in the game! Rock On!

I know, this game is incredible in every way. Thank you guys at HMX, you're seriously the best, and I really hope you get these problems sorted out, because, seriously, this game is the best game i've played in a looong time, and i've played many, many games in my life.

Yes this game is fantastic and I'm lucky enough to say I don't have any problems with any of my instruments and the game is just an absolute blast, I cannot wait to have the option of buying another strat so I can have 4 people playing at once. I never thought I'd like to sing in a game but the singing is absolutely great.

I gotta get in on this thread, because it is true. I've been dreaming of this game since it was first announced way back when. I had such high expectations and now that I have it, I can honestly say that is ****ing better than I even imagined. I've played two nights in a row, six hours straight on the drums. The biggest worry for me was if the drums would "feel" like playing the drums, and it does. Every cymbal crash, every bass drum hit. I feel like I'm there. This has been the greatest year in video game history. Right now I'm playing NHL '08, Bioshock, Mario Galaxy, and Rock Band. It's truly good to be alive and I'm thankful I'm in a position to enjoy a game such as this. A lot of people in this world don't have the luxury of an Xbox 360, let alone a $183 game.
Obviously there has been a lot of negativity on this board since it released. But like many have already said; If the game is working, then you are playing it, not typing your praises. The only reason I'm taking the time to write this is because I'm at work and all I can think about is Rock Band. Thank you Harmonix for having the craziest idea in video game history and making it a reality.

My only regret is this game has eaten into my time playing Battalion Wars 2, NHL '08, Oblivion, and Assassin's Creed. Hell, Fire Emblem, Super Mario Galaxy, and Call of Duty are still in the plastic wrap.

Even though I am plagued with the double strum issue....I grabbed my cousins GH Xplorer guitar...packed it all up and headed over to another cousins house where we proceeded to ROCK THE HOUSE for 6-7 hours last night.....LOTS OF FUN....both of them, who have had GH and play it...said Rock Band THROWS IT OUT OF THE WATER! THEY LOVED it and the fact that four of us can play all together made the whole thing......AWESOME!

I knew after the first week of playing GH1 on my PS2 just weeks after getting my XBOX360 that a band game would be coming and it would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Sure enough, here we are, and it definately is.
This is so much more fun than kicking prostitutes in GTA (not that *I* did that, but I've watched friends play the game) or shooting this alien or that soldier. It's such a pure experience and I wouldn't dream of, at any time, telling a kid or my kids (whenever I have any) to stop wasting their time playing "that bloody game". The benefits of this game far outweigh even the best written RPGs (which are still great experiences in their own right).
The gameplay here is pretty deep, DLC is going to give this thing long legs. About the only thing missing is a keyboard, but I dunno if there's enough fun songs to play with a keyboard ANYHOW.
Little things like the tambourine, or cowbell or whatever on the mic adds so much to the experience... the BRILLIANCE of having the crowd sing with you is such a small thing but makes a WORLD of difference to the point of the game.. well actually it probably shouldn't even be called a game, it is, indeed a band simluator.
This is also one of those games that encourages real-life, in-person, social interaction whereas I think a lot of people would point to solo entertainment mediums like gaming consoles as a further isolator of (western) society.
Like I said before, I wish I could buy stock in this company.
