View Full Version : Drums won't connect at all... :(

So I just grabbed RB and everything seems to work fine (guitar and mic) but for some reason the drum set won't register at all. I've connected the drums directly into a USB port as well as the powered USB hub... and I get the same results.

Essentially the four green lights around the guide button flash (all at the same time)... and that's all she wrote. I've tried solo, training, etc... and the drums never register as "connected".

I'm even able to turn on the Xbox with the guide button on the drums... but then it just cycles the lights on/off again... still nothing.

Anyone else having this issue? Any way to resolve this?

One of my guitars did the same thing a bunch of times. It mostly works now (for no apparently reason), except for the 5-way switch and overdrive...I requested a replacement anyway.

Yep... patch downloaded right away. Still nothing. EA is sending me a replacement. Hope to have better luck.

I'm having this exact same problem :(

And I can't even order a replacement because I'm from Canada (bought it on ebay).

And I really only bought this for the drums.

I've been so excited about this game for so long. This actually makes me feel really sad.

Anyone in the US want to receive a replacement for me?

Just thought I'd give folks an update on this situation.

On 11/21 I picked up RB and the drums were defective right out of the box. Checked on the forums here and basically ended up going to EA.com and requesting a replacement under warranty.

I'm still waiting...

In fact... I've been lied to twice by EA customer support about the replacement drum kit shipping days ago. UPS still does not show the package in their possession. EA is really making a mess of this replacement process. If they're out of drum kits and I need to wait for them to build more... just be honest about it. Don't lie to me... twice!

Anyway... I'm about over it now. This is a really bad experience and Harmonix should have never gotten involved with EA doing their customer support.

What a mess.

I am currently having this same problem. Is there a solution to this? I no longer have the option of getting a replacement so if there is no other solution then I doubt I will be buying another drum kit, they just have too many problems.
