How about showing the pioneers of indierock some love?
"Precision Auto" from the on the mouth album would be pretty frikin' cool. "Flawless" would be intense.
Anything off No Pocky for Kitty would be really cool. being able to rock out to "Cast Iron" and "Throwing Things" would seriously fulfill a childhood fantasy.

I was just thinking how fun it would be to have Superchunk on RockBand.
Sick to Move, Slack Mother****er, Water Wings and Detroit Has a Skyline would be awesome, in addition to what Hobbes510 suggested.

Absolutely. Cast Iron is my personal favorite 'Cunk song...
"You can see everything with those glasses...your eyes the color of molasses"
But anything off the first album or No Pocky For Kitty would rock!

This would certainly be a fun band to be able to play as in the game.

I searched the threads for Superchunk and this was the only specific one I found. How is it possible that this band has not gotten more love in these forums? Superchunk has to be one of the best bands from the 90's and probably the greatest "indie" band of all time. I would echo what the others wrote and say that pretty much anything by Superchunk that was released as DLC I would buy. My personal favorite is the First Part or 100,000 Fireflies. I would hope that those that love Superchunk will continue to post and those who don't know them give them a listen.

Once again I hope that the Supers get their moment in Rock Band.

Wow! The search feature actually works.
I actually just made a request (http://www.rockband.com/request) for a Superchunk song and noticed that I was the first to do so. If there is anyone else out there who would actually like to have this band in RB, please use that request link and make sure that you are heard.

Superchunk would be awesome. I agree with all of the song request in this thread and will add some of my favorite, Package Thief and Brand New Love (Sebadoh cover).
I actually picked my graduate school (University of North Carolina for Physics) primarily based on the indie music scene of the city (Chapel Hill) of which Superchunk was the heartbeat of when I was there [I know I am a loser for basing something of such important on a music scene, but it worked out]. So in addition to Superchunk, how about a 90's Chapel Hill Indie Rock Pack:
Archers of Loaf - Wrong
Small 23 - Finding It Hard To Believe There Was a Floor
Portastatic - San Andreas
Humidifier - When My Fingers Fall Off
Ben Folds Five - Underground
Polvo - The Purple Bear
and then a Merge Records track pack (especially since we just got Big Dipper who's Anthology is on Merge):
Seaweed - Start With or Kid Candy
Spoon - The Underdog
Butterglory - The Skills of the Star Pilot
Shout Out Louds - Tonight I Have To Leave It (even though The Comeback would make me more happy)
Neutral Milk Hotel - Song Against Sex
Pipe - El Camino
Spent - Excuse Me While I Drink Myself to Death
Arcade Fire - Rebellions (Lies)

I wonder if part of the reason why they have not been in Rockband yet is because they are on an independent label. I am not familiar with their label(s) to know if anyother Merge/Matador albums have had songs in Rockband, does anyone know?

To my knowledge, the only two Matador (past or present) bands that we've seen on Rock Band so far have been Sonic Youth and Neko Case. That said, none of the songs that we've gotten from them have been from their time on the Matador label.
I think that the only Merge act that we've seen anything from has been Dinosaur Jr. Again, I'm pretty sure that "Feel the Pain" wasn't on a Merge release. There are no others that I can think of immediately. Do we have an Arcade Fire song? I know they're on the label.

I don't know of any songs that were releaseed in Rock Band that were originally released on an independent label unless a big label later bought the back catalog. Sonic Youth is now on Merge and the new album is pretty awesome so I would hope that Harmonix can work something out to make sure that they can get songs from independent labels like Merge.

Oops, I should have said Matador not Merge. Either way I hope the independent lables can work with HMX.

Just listened to the new album all the way through. It's flippin' fantastic. So many good songs. We need to get some of these on RB, either through RBN or HMX DLC. The new CD is on Merge. Somebody get them involved with RBN immediately!
