And no i'm not talking about the RB1 cover :P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCaWV7GZVjM&feature=related

I simply fell off my chair with the screaming at the end.
I remember the days when the forum was full of threads bashing RTTH in RB1 hehe, take that!!

That was pretty bad. Also, watching the notes scroll like that physically hurt my eyes.

But one thing is for sure, the combination of those two leads to EPIC FAILURE!!!!

Sounds kind of like what Phil Anselmo would sound after a week of not drinking water.

And the cover drummer did an absolutely terrible job, it's probably dumbed down because the drummer couldn't handle it.

That foot pedal being a note in the middle messes with my mind!

Wow, thats amazingly horrible.

Beyond the bad cover, watching the video really makes you appreceate everything the RB team got right about animations, set design, lighting cues, and camera direction. Visually, Rock Revolution feels depressingly robotic and devoid of love-of-music, and the world's most flavourless cover or RttH doesn't help matters.

I've seen more exciting screen savers.

Probably the only thing I'd like about it is that I'd think "WOW I can actually play RTTH on expert drums!"
Well once i learned how to work the damn bass pedal hehe

Not foreign to DDR players... after all Dance Dance REVOLUTION and Rock REVOLUTION are made by the same people.

I love DDR and this looks like **** don't try to bash DDR fans if that's what you're doing besides all real DDR fans stay in the arcades and don't get the console versions.

That game looks straight terrible. Lifeless characters, the crowd is hardly into it, the charting is blinding, and the fact that there is a distinct lack of the ability to pay vox just kills me.

Lol at Chop Suey!! Ever hear the phrase "it's so bad it's good?"....well, they aren't! But they are good for a laugh apparently

I hope I don't sound like that when I'm singing.

iananderson

I wonder if they even noticed it sounded that bad. It's pretty sad if your cover makes someone crack up and bang their head on their desk to try and make the laughing stop =p

the crowd is hardly into it.

At the very least, at least they're there which definitely beats Guitar Hero III's crowd which had the same robotic characters in the crowd on every venue as well as them being completely inaudible until you finish the song. I might be nit-picking this, but one thing I loved about Guitar Hero I, Guitar Hero II, Rock Band and Rock Band 2 is hearing the crowd cheer and sing along.

There you go kids. If you ever going to be a rock star, never record a cover where you try to sound like the original. It is a good recording, but different.

I will not be buying that game, but I like the post run stat page. Harmonix, steal that idea please.

did the same singer do all of the covers?

I just noticed that it sounds like it, except for obviously the female vox

I honestly didn't find the RttH one *that* bad. Not great like RB1's was IMO, but decent other than the pretty horrible end scream stuff.

Chop Suey, on the other hand...

LOL @ Chop Suey, hahaha, kinda sounds like Fall Out Boy doing the cover <.<

...this is exactly what I was thinking while I listened.

Dear lord, I think I could sing a better Chop Suey than that >_>

What did they do to Chop Suey?! When I heard the voice I couldn't stop laughing

It's bad. It starts okay, but it seems like when the singer couldn't hit the notes, they added the chorus to HELP HIM on it. Unbelievable. The guy tried really hard to be Bruce Dickinson and failing. The scream was unforgivable.

I think the furthest I've ever gone into Sign's cover was the intro.

That game has got to be the hardest rhythm game ever... There's no way I could ever get used to the charts.

And whenever he's a little behind on the notes, they actually SOUND a little behind. Kinda weird.

I didn't think that the RttH cover was that crappy. It just the charting that was terrible. Now... Chop Suey... That was hysterical.

EDIT: Nevermind about my comment about RttH. That scream after the solo was just... Woooooowwwwwwwww... I broke out laughing.
