Can you hear the drums when you are playing to a song?? I can only really hear the cymbal. The snare sounds like a stick sound and the rest I can't hear very well at all when playing a full song at full speed. Before the song starts I can hear each drum/cymbal fine but after that it's like I'm just hitting nothing. Any suggestions?? I have a surround sound and am using 5.1 dolby.

Before the song starts, you are allowed to bang on the drums however you'd like, and they make appropriate drum sounds. However once the song starts, you are only allowed to either play the notes that appear or do whatever you want during free form fill sections. Playing an arbitrary note that doesn't correspond to one of these two scenarios after the song starts results in a sort of quiet stick-on-stick kind of sound. This sound is supposed to indicate an incorrect drum hit.

I think he referring to the lack of volume from the drums during the actual song. I'm in complete agreement, you only hear the crash cymbal during the song itself.

What are you guys talking about??!! Your drums never make sounds, you hit the corresponding note and what ever sound that note is, thats what you hear. You hear the song...no bass press on orange, no bass sound. No red pad, no snare drum that you would hear in the song. Before first note comes, you can play whatever you want and you create the sound. Same thing for free fills.

So you are saying that no sound should be heard except before a song and for fills only? What is the fun in playing the drums if you can only follow the notes and hear them on fills..... I thought it would be me playing the drums and also hearing the sound of what I am playing instead of the banging of sticks on these pads. Oh well live and learn I guess
