question about drums

[Paradox]

With the way the guitar has been and stuff....is there a limit to how hard you can drum on the pads? I mean, obviously you can't go wailin on them but I mean, in a normal fashion?

I naturally play a little heavy but surely don't want to tear anything up because of user error. So how much are they really designed to take? Those faster parts, I just can't help but get a little heavier and especially during big rock endings and what not.

o I wale on them, but I try not to because then I get of beat and miss notes, but theres a plastic rim around the pads, and I hit those sometimes, it gets annoying. but overall I think its okay to wale every once in a while.
