Export/Import RB1 songs to RB2

I have a PS3. I exported the songs from RB1 and it gave me the message that it will take up 1.8 Gigs on my hard-drive so I said okay and then it looked like it was done. I wasn't prompted for anything else or to pay $4.99 to export them.

I put in my RB2 disc and I see the DLC songs but not any songs from RB1 track list.

Has anyone done this and can you provide the steps that you went through that I may have missed here? I figured it was obvious how to do it but obviously I have missed something.

You have to go to the playstation store to buy the $5 license file and download it to your hard drive. Then go to the export feature on the RB 1 disc and start the export process. You will see the progress of each individual song being exported. It takes about 10-15 minutes I would say to export them all. Then you will see all the songs in RB 2.

DON'T DO IT! DO NOT EXPORT! If you do this, you will have a hard time unlocking Rock Band 2 songs. In Tour mode, the game will select Rock Band 1 songs instead of Rock Band 2!

DON'T DO IT! DO NOT EXPORT! If you do this, you will have a hard time unlocking Rock Band 2 songs. In Tour mode, the game will select Rock Band 1 songs instead of Rock Band 2!
