Drums Power On button not working

Bought RB2 bundle on Sunday. Powered up and played drums for one song on Sunday. Tried playing again today; power button does not work. I've checked and replaced the batteries, still not working. Any thing else I can do before sending back to EA?

I have the same problem I can get mine to work by banging on battery area and or moving the batteries around it is almost like there is a loose connection for the power and or negative wire in battery case??? I am tempted to open it up but do not want to void warranty will also shut down sometimes when playing - try tapping that area and then power on again.

if its ps3 they just released a patch to add power management to the controllers to shut ones off that aren't in use. its causing issues with rb instruments, turn it off and see how it goes

Mine is for Xbox.

The batteries are not loose; in fact, they are crammed in very tightly. It takes me considerable prying to get them out.
