I have a PS3, and I bought Rock Band 2 on Sunday. All I have is a Rock Band 1 drum set, and I play on a 19-inch Insignia LCD HDTV television. I am using the video cords that came with the Playstation 3.
I expected I would have a problem with lag and calibration, but I didn't know it would be this bad. It seems that no matter what setting I put the A/V on, MY HITS ALWAYS SEEM TO REGISTER LATER ON THE SCREEN. I am not sure if this is an illusion or if it has to do with the audio. I have tried every standard number Harmonix has listed for HDTVs, and I've tried calibrating it with the tests multiple times. I've gotten close, but when I play songs like "Eye of the Tiger" or "Hungry Like a Wolf" I notice I am just not on. I just don't know what to do with this, and I know my problem with get worse once I buy the Rock Band 2 drums. I just don't know what to do anymore. I just bought a $10 HDMI cable today, so I will see what that does. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you need me to be more specific just let me know. Thanks a lot.
