ps3 or xbox for online ?

i have read that sony is leaving it up to developers to have their own servers and stuff for their online games.....

which do you think will have more people as well as better online service ?

xbox 360 or ps3 ? I want to buy the better one.....

harmonix ??? any plans on how the server side will be if you do have to make your own?

I own a Ps3 and i Hope we get online play , and am not making any comments or suggestions because then a whole console war will break in this thread .

nothing about it is better than the 360 visual wise or performance wise n + they cant keep exclusives gta4 nuh uh dmc4 nope ok final fantisy not even that series will stay but does the 360 lose halo 3? nope still has it. so why buy a 600$ papper weight when u could have a 400$ machine that does more nuf said.

in terms of online 360 is light years ahead anything ps3 can offer in terms of accessibility, features, and amounts of people, however it is 50$ a year but is totally worth the price.

ps3 is free currently but there are plans to possible be a pay service in the future, as well as the extra cost of the console as well. it's up to you.

360 has better online, 200$ cheaper, so you can get RB+year of live for the price of a ps3
ps3 has blu-ray, free online, different exclusives..

Yeah, there's no contest. XBox 360 provides the better online experience. If you've paid attention to the developer blogs, you'll notice that they've been doing their online playtesting on Xbox Live.

The XBox 360 online is probably the better choice at this moment in time. I bought the PS2 online kit when it came out and found it to be a complete pain in the bum.

The PS3 is undoubtable a mean piece of kit, and I can't deny I would like one. However, if you get a 360 now with live, by the time Sony sort out their own online service, assuming they do, then in a year or two, you could probably buy a PS3 for half what they are now, and own both PS3 and 360, which would be even better :)

Agreed that their is no point entering a consold war, no one can say definitively which is better, they both have their strengths and weaknesses, but the PS3 isn't £450 for no reason, know what I mean.

Anyone that blindly dismisses either console has not thought things through.

careful because they recently announced football games on 360 will be running at 60fps while only 30 fps on ps3, not only that but the textures, animations, and just plain graphics will look better on 360.. as if they don't already.

i'm not making this up.. read it a few days ago.. it's kind of pathetic, sony keeps giving me less and less reasons to want to pick one up, but I still want to get one eventually

I wouldn't say Sony's giving you less and less, the game devs are giving you less and less. They can't be stuffed putting in the effort to make the ps3 as good, which is a pity.
