Rock Band needs like a Jam Session where you just play a guitar, drums etc or create a song mode, where u can select from different notes and lengths and pitches and types of sounds to the intruments, etc, and even upload+ download the songs you cant just have a rock band that covers other bands songs right? you need to have your own songs to be a true band and if this isnt in Rock Band (both of those modes) thats fine, but Rock Band 2 NEEDS these features for sure, please consider

Do you mean that we should be able to create our own guitar/drum scores into the game by ourselves ?

That's a great idea i think.

But how could we record our own "real" songs, before broadcasting them on the game ? Directly through the PS3 ?

It would be cool, but I'm not sure it is feasible.

It
would be okay with the drums, if there will be at least as many as 5
pieces in the controller, because then each piece of the peripherial
can produce its own distinctive midi (snare, tom, bass and so on) so
that you can jam on it and create your own sound.

But with the 5
buttons guitar, I don't see this working. Especially considering that a
real guitar has basically hundreds of notes available on its neck.

They
would need to redesign completely the guitar controller, and thus
probably be forced to break backwards compatibility with the GH one. I
don't see that coming, even though I would LOVE it!

I know a way to make it work for the guitar but it would be a little hard. First u make an amp like setting for the virtual sound u want in the game. Then, u do the same for bass, the signer...just sings. And the drummer just.....drums. For guitar(and bass), the game would have a set note/sound for each fret, and when u hit one, it changes the sound for every fret to go with the note u just hit. I hope that makes sence. And it also has set chords according to the last note u played, and u could probally choose what to play(like solo in a minor, or power chord intro)for the game to know what to make u play, but it still will be u playing. Then after u all play(either together all at once with 1 chosen part, or all parts for all ionstruments done seperately) u can play it in the game. Also, the game could have something(wouldnt be that hard to make)to make the note charts easier for hard, medium, and easy.

What do u guys think?

These all sound like awesome ideas but unfortunately I don't see any of them happening. As with Guitar Hero you are not actually playing the guitar you are hitting buttons on a controller that correspond to notes on the screen. Only when you miss a note does anything actually happen.

I basically see this as guitar hero with a drummer and singer, which will totally be awesome! The game rocks in 2 player mode (guitarist and rhythm or guitar and bass) so it can only get better jamming with a full band

That would be an awsome idea to create your own songs. then you should be able to use solo's from your song and duel with another guitarist online!

how it would work is, you would have pre-made guitar sounds, and you select them, length of notes, pitch, etc

drums would be easy, same thing basically

singing....you record using the microphone, and then you have to sing so it kinda syncs up with the recording? idk, just and idea

and the freeplay would be the same pretty much, just an idea :)
