Black bars

Rock band is fun, everything works awesome. Except for one thing: there is a black bar all the way around the screen. It's about an inch big on my 1080p TV, and when I press the zoom button on my TV it cuts off some of the image.

That is all the way around the game, which wouldn't really be a problem if:

the xbox guide fills the whole screen, as does any other game I put in.
Only two other games that have had black bars for me are Burnout Revenge and GH2.
I kinda figured they just weren't friendly with the 1080p upscaling cause they are older games. But rock band is brand new??
What am I doing wrong? I'm sure its something very simple that i've looked over, if it isn't why are black bars here?

From what I understand, go into the Calibrate Lag in the options menu and click on the manually calibrate option. Then skip the first two parts and on your screen it will say something like check this box to upscale the screen to cover the black border. Check this box. It basically fills in that border. Although my description on how to do it is not that detailed, hopefully, you'll be able to do it.
