Now I know this has been hashed over and over what songs for what people and cant please everyone so lets get that flame out of the way from the get go.

Starting out, I love the new RB2 set list. There are some really GREAT songs and me, the wife and sons love playing them. Currently, my sons (9 and 13 years old) swap off playing guitar while my wife plays drums and I play bass and sing at the same time. It is funny how much you think you know the lyrics to a song till you have to watch the guitar notes and sing without reading the lyrics. (for me anyways)

So to the point, would be really nice to have some songs that were from more recent. Now while there are people that will say that more modern music has seriously been lacking, I would bet that if someone heard one line of a lyric they could name where the song came from.

While I love learning new songs I have never heard and there fore discoverings new bands to pick up an album for, it makes it really difficult to get both the bass and vocals together when there are limited to popular songs that alot of people would enjoy playing. While I like song A, this person doesnt but has B which I dont have since the vocals are either out of range or not particularly fun to do.

Most of the songs are set for have a blast on guitars and drums, but seems very few are made for a vocalist to shine. Cheesy but alot of vocalists like songs they can hold out and show emotion with. (I was lead singer of a cover band for 6 years)

A few suggestions, specific songs...(and these are songs that really match my voice and how I sing so that makes me a bit bias maybe)

There are so many songs it would take forever to list them all so I wont even try. Needless to say that it would just be nice to see some more modern well known songs added that are a bit slower tempo for the vocalist to really get into. I am sure most vocalists would sings 3 songs they didnt really want to, if they could get that one they really want to belt out.

I don't sing, but hell if I got just one song that I really wanted to belt out I'd buy a mic!

Nice list B.T.W.

I was not saying they were the best songs in the world, just well known.

Most places if you would ask some one the next lyrics after, "Come on feel the noise," you will most likely hear a resounding "Girls Rock your boys".

The point I was making is that for those of us that play an instrument and sing at the same time, it would be nice to have songs that were a bit more well know. And yes we can learn the new lyrics for the songs, most just are not that great to sing, that is only my opinion, but I am sure it is shared by other singers.

If COFTN was in the game, I'd rather it be Slade's version, 'cos it's... um... better (same with Mama Weer All Crazee Now). Like the whole The Sweet/Krokus Ballroom Blitz jazz.
