i bought STANDALONE version of RB... i don't have a guitar, drums, bass....

only Sixaxis controller... the game will work correctly?

No, you'll need drums, guitar or a microphone to play.

no it doesn't work the sixaxis is used for the mic to navigate the menus that's it, you need the bundle to play the guitar as the PS3 has no other guitar to play it. if you have a bluetooth headset or a USb one you can use that as a mic and sing but that's it for the moment until standalone instruments are released early next year.

Basically, if you have the standalone PS3 version, you'll want to take that baby right back to the store because there's no way to play it until February (at which point you need to purchase an instrument). If you have the 360 version, it's possible you can play with a different guitar.

The game does state on the case that you need an instrument. However, it doesn't tell you that there's nothing on the market you can buy right now for PS3.

Oh sorry... let me add this disclaimer: You can sing if you have a microphone and that's your thing. If not (like me), I guess the game is indeed this "pig work" you speak of.

Can you find any evidence of that? It does make sense if it's true, but I haven't personally seen that printed anywhere.

If the opened up the game to work with Sixaxis, I wonder if guitars would work also since they seem to functional as regular controllers in menus.

Ok, so.... Why are they not in trouble then for this issue? People can't play the game with the Sixaxis right now. Just navigating menus does not constitute playing the game. It sounds like we have another gripe here.
