I've had Rock Band on my PS3 for about 6 months and this problem is getting worse and worse as of late. I've read the forums, and noticed some people are experiencing this same issue. Was wonder how common it was, or if there is anything I can do to fix it. Love the game, but it's a real bummer when you and your friends are all set to jam, only to have the game freeze up leaving us to have to restart the entire system every 2-3 songs (Talk about bumming).
Not sure if it's because I have about 50+ songs downloaded at this point or if that is a factor.
I've found some consistencies in the freeze/crashes though, as it ALWAYS happens when selecting a song. Once I get past this song select page, I'm all good - no issues - plays perfect.
Typically when selecting a song, it goes right away to the next screen where you can select the difficulty. But all too often nowadays, my Rock band just locks up and freezes when I select the song and just sits there locked up on the song list page.
A few things I've noticed:
-It tends to freeze when selecting a song more often when playing with 3-4 players. Less often when playing solo or with just two people (although it still happens, just less often).
-It tends to freeze when selecting a song that is towards the bottom of the set lists, or a downloaded song that is difficult.
-Typically when you scroll over a song option, it gives you a sample of the song (So you can hear it), but when it's about to crash when picking a song, it will be silent as you scroll through the song list (A sure sign that any song you pick will make it lock up)
Any insight is much appreciated.
