Can't play DLC whats wrong?

i noticed this about a couple months ago but i didn't think too much about it but now almost all of my DLC songs are not even letting me play, im getting an error message that says i can't play the songs and i get sent back to the main menu. if anyone can help me i would appreciate it

you will probably need to delete the dlc cache and all the dlc and then redownload it to fix the problem.

k well right now we are just redownloaded (without deleting the catch) and if that doesn't work we'll try that, but if i delete my catch will that delete my characters, band, etc.?

No, deleting the cache will not delete your characters. Another thing to ask is if you purchased these songs on a different 360, even if it was one that you had to have replaced due to a red ring or something.
