Allow us to record our songs to the Hard drive
Allow us to make up music and save it and display it the way you do now
maybe put in a keyboard? Dont know if theres enough songs for that but just a thought.
allow for rythm guitar and lead guitar
allow for singing back ups
Great job on the game, most fun ive ever had on a video game

I think you've got a great idea, Parks71. Keyboards would be a super addition/option. So would rythm/lead guitar. Sure, it might be too crowded for one screen, but if you set up a LAN party with multiple consoles (or played online) it would be super cool. The keyboards could pull double duty as synthesizers standing in for sax, flute or fiddle. Then you could play as Earth Wind and Fire, Jethro Tull or Charlie Daniels Band-- or how about Electric Light Orchestra?

Man, my idea is to not have another one. Release cheap expansions, DLC, and patches/updates. I mean, the main code base shouldn't need a major overhaul at any point. Not until the next gen.

I think there should be a speaker on the guitar where music comes out of it when you play or an Amp that you can plug into it to hear the music instead of it coming from just the tv speakers. also maybe a new strum bar idea, instead of the strum bar have four/five strings where the strum bar is and you play them with a pick and you have to strum the correct string/cord while playing the correct color/fret buttons
haha, it's just an idea.

Ok so in making these games, they cut the number of places you can play on a guitar from 126 down to 5 (assuming a 21-fret fretboard with 6 strings)...4% of the original...
What would you propose they do with a keyboard? The same 4% reduction would give you a 4-key keyboard :p Or take an 88-key keyboard and cut it down to what, 1 octave's worth? 12 keys? There would be barely enough room for your 10 fingers on that and it would come nowhere near approximating the experience of playing a real piano, like the current peripherals sorta do.

Yeah, the guitar isn't close to a real guitar at all. The mechanics of how you move your hand on the fret board and how you strum are entirely different. Only periph. that emulates close to the real thing are the drums. Problem with the keyboard idea is displaying it. You need a note chart area big enough for either 12-24 notes... impossible. Or you need a really awful 4 key keyboad.

That's the direction I was leaning in: just keep giving us DLC and the occasional patch.

I'm sure someone could come up with a design for a "keyboard" which would capture the fun, if not the realism of keys. If they did it for the guitar, they can do it for keyboards.
