I've been looking all over the forums for a definite answer on whether or not the Singstar Mic works on Rock Band for Xbox 360, and I found nothing.

So, has someone tested that out yet? that would make things a bit easier to import if I could just get the software, and use mostly stuff I already have here, and hang on 'til I can buy the drums locally.

I'll try it tonight and let you know.

Oh, thanks. I'll be waiting, anxiously glaring at a "ROCK BAND GAME ONLY XBOX 360 SOLD OUT IN HAND AWESOME GIFT !!!!" auction on Ebay. or one with a similar name. You know what I mean.

Not sure if this helps, but they clearly state in-game that *any* USB mic will do. (I dont have any other USB mics other than the one it came with or the default 360 headset or I'd test this.)

Yeah I pretty much think it will work, it's an extremely standard stereo input device, but I don't know if the fact that it is Stereo it will hurt, microphones are usual Mono, but Singstar uses Stereo in order to use 2 microphones at once - pretty clever actually.

Well the PS3 GH 3 guitar connects on 360,none of the controls work though.

Just tried it right now and it doesn't recognize it. Don't know if there is some kind of workaround. Shame, too, because I prefer the size and feel of the Singstar mic.

Similarly, the Karaoke Revolution headset, which is a standard USB mike, does not work with Rock Band. Bummer for folks who wanna try solo BWT.

Well that's a shame, There goes my cheap import scheme. Thanks for checking it out!

...its funny they said any USB Mic works, but then again we haven't tested actual microphones - I need to get me a Shure 55SH (Elvis Mic) USB look-alike if they work. :D

Only other option to check out would be the USB Logitech Microphone for PS2 - would make sense since it was for Karaoke Revolution... chances are its the peripheral they used when making the game... and coincidentally, the Rock Band microphone looks like it shares the same case, they just changed the strain relief on the cord and the grill on top.

hm.

I tried to use my wireless 360 headset it and had teeeeeerible feedback. I had to stand, like, 20 feet from my speakers, which pretty much put me out the room, and it only picked up 30% of my vocals. They really need that mic stand fast.

Can anyone test the USB Logitech Microphone for PS2 with rock band for 360 ?
I can't find the vantage one here in canada, the best option would be a usb logitech mic for ps2....

I seriously doubt that any PS2 peripheral will work with Xbox 360 Rock Band.
