View Full Version : USB Adapter

My USB adapter isn't powering the instruments, I can plug them into the system individually and they work.

But they aren't turning on when I use the adapter, is there anything special I have to do to use them..?

I have unplug to hub from the console, and when I plug it back in it works. Give that a try.

You have to wiggle the usb wire coming from the hub to the system, there is a short in it. Honestly it looks like something from the dollar store. They should have supplied a better unit.

Yeah I can't seem to get my USB adapter to work either. I guess I'm going to have to get in touch with the warranty people about sending a new one.

same one of my ports ont eh hub fell apart when i opened the box HAHA.

anyone know if any USB hub will work. I want to get one with a nice longer cord to move the hub to us instead of 4 cables running accross the room... And does it have to be a powered USB hub?

Any powered USB hub would work. I'm not sure if anyone has tried a non-powered hub.

yeah, i would like more info regarding this. the power cable on that hub is ridiculously short... what the hell were they thinking?

We've been using an unpowered USB hub at my brother's house (I've got the powered one at mine), and it works just fine. Buy a cheapy hub until EA can send you a replacement (http://support.ea.com/rockband), then just use the hub for computer periphs.

I used the USB thing for the first time yesterday. Everything lit up except the drums. I realized is had to do with the wireless controller being on. After unpluging the drums, turning off the controller, then plugging the drums back in they turned on. Then I turned the controller back on. Didn't have any problems after that.

So, maybe try plugging everything in without the controller(s) on?
