I just bought Paranoid in DTS Quadraphonic and you must have the masters in order to make such disc. So yea, you guys said the same thing about the rush masters and yet you were wrong. Keep your fingers crossed guys

masters that are usable for HMX's purposes aren't necessary for any kind of remastering job.

i haven't seen any evidence stating that usable black sabbath masters AREN'T available, but i'm also afraid that remasters (whether they're in quadraphonic sound or not) don't mean they do exist.

God willing, this is correct....If not, I don't really mind the covers all that much. MOAR SABBATH PLEASE!

I've been listening to the DTS DVD and wow! It's amazing! You can clearly hear the different tracks for each instrument. I mean the guitar has lie 3 different tracks. The Paranoid album was definitely more than a 4-track recording. Plus I highly doubt Ozzy owns the Black Sabbath music/name etc. Tony Iommi has been in all incarnations of Black Sabbath so he is the man to get a hold of.

Just listened to War Pigs and HOLY CRAP IT HAS AN ENDING! It's not all sped up like in the one you've heard. It ends quite nicely.

Another thing I'd like to point out master wise, every album that has been released by MFSL has the masters usable. The MFSL company receives the masters to be re-mastered and released.

I'd love more Sabbath.

Remastering usually involves re-EQing and compressing of the already mixed version. The original mixed version is what they use to make CDs from. I doubt most remasters even go back to the original master at all. The master that contains the isolated tracks is something different.

.

Tony definitely owns the name but if I'm not mistaken that douche Sharon got the music rights out him several years ago and owns all the Ozzy era rights.

An OK idea:

Make a Black Sabbath Pack 2: Includes "Snowblind", "The Wizard", and "Fairies Wear Boots"

But make it masters only

Please don't laugh at my idea :(

So nothing's stopping us from getting the Dio material...

Except for the fact that it is DIO era and he co-owns the rights with Tony. I would love it but i think RJD has a hardon for not letting the rights to his music after this.....

Yeah, enough of the Ozzy era. I want some Dio era. Maybe with the new Heaven and Hell album that will be coming, what better way to get your new material out then have it available on Rock Band.

Its in the works. New album in 09. I was just thinking that when it is released, it would rock if it was available on RB.

Hell, rock band release Heaven and Hell's recent live album. I would love to play The Devil Cried.
