Being canadian myself, my first reaction to the so called delay on RB in canada was pretty violent.
But then i began to think, what if harmonix released a demo that would allow canadians, (and europeans) worldwide to play the guitar parts (if you owned GH II / III).
I believe this would save some canadian business, the people who decided to take back their preorder because of the injust treatment.

that would actually be useful and mean that the ppl behind this game actually do give a **** about their customers.

so in other words, i doubt there will be a demo

Nah. This isn't Guitar Hero 4. Most people won't have a mic, obviously they wouldn't have the drums. This is a group experience game...If I were you I'd jump on the Canadian BB Demo bandwagon because at least you get to try out the actual game and other controllers.

I also really don't believe for a second that more than 5% of those people will actually NOT buy the game when it comes out... it's just whiny fanboy posturing thinking somehow HMX will gasp for air and suddenly overnight fedex thousands of boxes to stores to appease the crybabies.

It would be nice if they were honest about the actual reason for the delay... I still just can't buy it's packaging. But I seriously don't expect them to say "To keep as many units in the US as possible until our second (third/fourth/whatever) run of bundles are ready". Most game companies get stickers made and slap them on the box and/or put the french manual on the back of the game box and rewrap it. Easy-peasy. Anyhow.. sorry... a little off topic there. I think everyone's just bellyaching.. they won't be able to stay away. They're here cause they got hooked on Guitar Hero.. and they'll be even more hooked on this whether it shows up tomorrow or in 4 weeks or in 4 months like the Europeans.

Ouch. I think Harmonix does care. I also think, however, that EA has a publishing deal with Harmonix, and doesn't care about much else except fulfilling hte terms of said contract and collecting their $$$. I think that's a big part of the problem.

But that's just conjecture and speculation.

Do you mean a solution *to* angry Canadians or a solution *for* angry Canadians? Because one of those options is considerably more sinister than the other =)

Or you could have done what I did and cross the border to buy the game...... It was that easy !!!!:D

And a foot note on the whole Canadian delay story: The XBOX Canada newsletter is mocking us:

They should've put a PS3 demo out on the 29th,would've prevented at least one of the current problems. I don't have a 360 guitar so that doesn't help me.
