View Full Version : Rock Band PS3 store wtf?

After buying Rock Band for PS3 the other day (seeing as it was only released in New Zealand on the 24th of October), I thought I'd check out the store to see what songs were available and what songs weren't.
As I scrolled through the list, many of them said they were already purchased. Puzzled, I clicked on one and was given the options "Preview, Download again, Exit".
When I clicked on Download again, it said the song was unavailable at this time and to download it through the XMB, which of course isn't possible because I hadn't downloaded them in the first place.
This issue is quite irksome because I cannot buy many songs that I want to, including "Still Alive" which is meant to be free anyway.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can someone shed some light on the situation?

The US had the same issue. They released a patch to correct it

The issue is that for whatever reason Harmonix did a crappy job coding their in-game store. Any songs that aren't available show up and "Purchased" even though they aren't and are, in fact, unavailable in your country due to licensing. Go to the PSN store and you'll see what (if anything) is available in your country.

So will they release a patch in NZ, and will the songs become available soon? I'm rather annoyed about this because there's so many good songs I want to download but cant.
Harmonix will lose money if they don't rectify the problem...

But I think I spent an extra 5.49 or whatever that was and if that comes through on the card, I will be mighty pissed! I thought I was just redownloading!

- Looks high and low for the people from HMX - it's almost like they are hoping the software god will come and fix everything...

Does anyone ever get a direct response from Harmonix or EA?
I remember reading about one guy whose USB hub started an electrical fire, and he emailed EA about it, asking for a replacement, and they emailed him back with a generic automated response, telling him to try again if his USB hub wasn't working.
He emailed them back trying to get across the point that the hub had started a fire, and they gave another automated response telling him that if he was still having problems with his hub he should call their support line or something like that.
Whatever it was, they weren't addressing the issue.
