View Full Version : Post patch serious issue

Okay, wife and I just fired up Rock Band 2....prompted for an update and restarted (xbox 360). I log in as my profile and select my drummer. She logs in with her gamer profile and her singer and guitar player are gone. MINE are listed. Our band profile doesn't show either of her avatars. They appear to be 100% gone. They don't even appear in the band roster anymore.


Is this the result of this patch HMX? If so, I certainly hope it can be reversed cause the fallout for me will not be good. Not good at all.

That sucks!!! I don't think the patch caused it though. All my characters were there post patch.

My sister and I just played a few hours ago (we also have separate profiles and avatars) and had no problems.

Somneone else mentioned a missing chacter bug....anyone familiar with that? They were there just fine last weekend, now they are flat out gone.


Further more, since when do one set of characters appear in two different profiles?

Rastak, I am having the same problem. My characters are gone and my wifes character is now under both my profile and hers. My bands are gone also. I tried remaking my band, and got a message saying the name is already in use on xbox live. My achievements are still there too. Anyone have any word on what is going on and how to fix it?

Okay, this is nice. Called the support number listed on the sticky and it's an EA warrenty number. The dude had no idea who I should call, suggesting Microsoft. That'll really help.


Can I get some help from one of the developers here? The EA dude said Harmonix doesn;t write code EA does....LOL.


It sounds like there is literally nobody to call regarding a software issue.

Well after looking through the 20+ pages of posts in that thread, and seeing that this problem has existed since release and still no word on a fix or how to avoid it. This usually means one of two things. They dont know how to fix it, or the fix would be so intensive they would need to recall the entire line. From the lack of response I am guessing it is the latter. Looks like they are going the "lets cross our fingers and hope it doesnt effect to many people" route. Its really a shame...my wife and I loved this game.

Ive had that happen to me 3 times now, there is only one fail safe right now, memory card and hard drive, you gotta back everything up, sucks, but thats what i had to do, seein as yeah.
and im gonna make a thread for this, but after the patch, i can no longer go to the in game store, what the ****?!
