OMG! The tattoo editor is so amazing! You can create anything, and I mean ANYTHING! :D I'm having an uber-fun time making kickass tattoos and showing them off online. there should be a section of this forum for showing off tattoo pics...Feel free to post pics of your tattoo and band logo creations in this thread...this is the place for it.

You just have to select the modify option after your first tattoo is placed and select move, you can slide the tattoo all the way down to the wrist. Then add another layer, you can sleeve your player out with ink real fast. It is actually very cool, almost a mini-game with how deep it is.

Nope, no limit! Or at least the limit is really rediculously high if there is one...I've yet to hit the ceiling on layering and I've put way more layers than any normal person could want! I love the selection! Thank you so much HMX! This is sweet! The peripherals could have been better, but that's okay for the amazing bargain price of this awesome experience. I could make my character look like a biker, or a clown, or an emo kid (with blood all over the wrists ;D), or I could make him look like Derek from American History X (you know what I mean...) and freak some people out online! Whatever comes to mind!!!...as long as I don't give him a dirty name! lol

Go to the rock shop and go to 'scissors and ink' and design whatever your heart desires...I just made a perfect replica of Gene Simmons from KISS...I had to play through like 25% of the solo tour though to get the cash to buy the spiky black leather jacket and pants and boots and such! It looks so sweet! I also made the classic "f u" guy with the inapproriate lettering all over his chest and such...hehehe...I don't play online with it though. I think I might try making a hitler character...with the mustache painted on and maybe even with the uniform tattooed on him! It would probably take too long though. Any other wacky ideas???

25 is the limit for layers, at least for face paint, my singer's face is covered in eyeballs, with a huge mouth, looks a lot like Arucard in Hellsing, when his limits are off -_-

The thing I seem to be having trouble with is makeup/face paint. I made a Paul Stanley from KISS and painted his face white. Put the red lipstick on him and it won't show up, it will only if I remove the white on his face. I cannot seem to figure that out....

yeah dude, I'm working on making everyone from kiss....The thing is that face paint WILL COVER all make-up you use so what I'd suggest you do (this what I did for my gene simmons char. (different color though)) is just go to face paint...make his face white, put the star on the eye, etc. AND THEN use a couple or a few almond shapes (solid, no borders) colored red and stick them on his lips...it'll take some time to get them just right, but just keep scaling and rotating until it looks good...thats basically what I did...I'll put some pictures of all my creations on here when I'm finished!

Would like to see how your Stanley turned out... Yeah that star was a B**** to get right, cuz you can't just use the stock star...it bends all over his forehead and get distorted...I had to use a bunch of black triangles to get it right. Ace was the most time consuming cuz I had to make the shapes in black and then double them over in silver (scaled down a little of course)...took me 24 layers!! Again, I'll have them all put up on here by the end of the day, hopefully. I'm really happy with my Peter Criss; he turned out really well...unfortunately I had to name him "Peter Cris" because with two S's it is a restricted name that they won't let you use online...I don't know why, maybe it has to do with the fact that if you drop the middle six letters it spells a dirty word...IDK.

You can, on some of the items. If you have the item purchased, when you scroll to it, you will see an "Add Art" option in the bottom right corner of the screen (same with guitars and basses). Works the same way as tattoos, but you are limited on where the art can go, based on the item of clothing.

It's a blast. My female drummer is starting to look like Kat von D, hehe. http://www.maximonline.com/todays_girl/index.aspx?id=2312 Okay, maybe not that extreme (yet), but she has a lot of ink.

My only complaint is that you can't put ink on your rocker's back or legs. Seriously, what female rocker doesn't have an ankle tattoo? :)

Here is my band's (Jetpacks Was Yes!) logo.
I went to the leaderboards on some song and browsed through at least thirty people or so and did not see a single other band that has a logo.

It's a pretty cool feature though. You even get to see your band logo on the side of the jet once you get it, as well as displayed on your drum set.

It seems there is also an art maker to allow you to make a design to put on a T-shirt. The dissapointing part is that you can't select the band logo you have already made...it seems you would have to make it again. What's up with that?

And now you're saying I can make my own guitar finishes? Nice!

I haven't done much face paint on my characters, but my singer has a couple tattoos - and I agree, the tattoo designer is so amazing.
On her right arm I put some pink cherry blossoms and a red dragon overtop - kind of simple, but I'd always planned on getting a dragon tattoo of my own, so it seemed natural.
On her chest I started putting a heart with a sword through it, but while I was playing around with it I put a thick-lined white heart there, and put a red heart overtop of it, but slightly smaller, and I realized it looked like a Heart-Piece from the Legend of Zelda series, so I removed the sword and kept that =D

I'd like the play around with it a lot more to create some wicked cool tats, and if I can find a way to take some picks I'll put up the ones I already have.

One thing Ive noticed is if you make a guitar or shirt decal (possibly a tat, I havent added any yet), its a standard option when you add art on ANYTHING.

The downside being that I made a sweet Christmas Sweater (in anticipation for the Christmas Tour my roomate and I are planning...) and than when I wanted to add the same tree logo to my guitar it was HUGE, and to my knowledge you have to re-size every element individually.

That's the only problem with the character creator is the outfits and the hair options and the face options are a little sparse, but I guess they just wanted to give everyone the basic esential elements that would allow for completely unique customizations.

Man, I REALLY want to see more of these... Like, A LOT MORE. There really needs to be an entire section in the forums dedicated to posting pics of all these characters.

There should be sections for the following:


Character creation - includes outfits and makeup that people wanna show off

Tattoo, Instrument decal, and band logo section

Customs - things people have done to make their tangible instruments more interesting/quite/whatever
(i.e. cupholders for drums, mic stands, paint jobs, stages, lights, etc. All that fun stuff)

Only thing under instruments is the guitar/bass/drums and it lets me pick paint/sparkle/sunburst. I dont see anywhere to apply art to instruments.

Yeah dude! if you'd put some sweet tattoos and face paint and such with metal textures on that dude it would look pretty b1tchin'! You'd have to make those textures from scratch though, so I would probably take a while...if you wanted them to look good.

I tried to create an S-shield yesterday but I couldn't get it the right size. (It was too wide and not long enough). I'd love to be able to make a Kingdom Come style S-shield, tho. Not sure if its possibly but I'll give it try tonight.

I was able to make a Flash shirt, tho. That was pretty easy. The only bad thing is that the lightning bolt I used didn't have a black outline so it was hard to see at certain angles. Still looks great, tho.

I'm also going to try to make a Batman shirt. Hopefully, it won't be too difficult.

Thanks. If they all have the same limit of layers and the same art selection to import into said layers, I don't see why I can't just select my band's logo as an art to add to shirts without completely remaking it.
