Drum Pedal Won't Work

So, I bought rockband 2 yesterday and the drums worked fine. However, today when I went to play the kick pedal just didn't work. I tried replacing it with my old kick pedal from my old rockband drums (which broke a while back) and no dice.

Do I have to go through the replacement/warrenty BS?

make sure it is plugged into the right hole, there are 2 there actually, when i started playing i couldnt figure out why my pedal didnt work theni switched it andd it worked

That's the first thing I checked (even before switching pedals)
