Now we're at 5 days, half of ten! It's almost the last weekend before the game. :D

I don't really care what the special content is. Anything would be new to me, and I'm already satisfied with paying $250 for what I know I'm getting. A DVD would be awesome, but if it was anything limited edition that I didn't want to use (like if it were stickers or something), I'd just keep 'em some place safe and perhaps sell them in a few years.

There's a flier released for Walmart that says they have The Beatles: Rock Band for sale. I'm assuming it's a preemptive thing, but there are other releases that have dates in the future (ie. Sept 15). I may check it out. It never hurts to check when the Walmart is 15 minutes away by foot.

I don't think a controller has ever worked for a Rock Band game except for selecting options for Vocals players.

Keep playing the plastic guitar, you'll get better. And it's so much more awesome anyways. :D

The xbox controller definitely doesn't work and neither does the headset as a microphone for singing.

It looks very nice. I watched it side by side with the 360/PS3 version, and it seemed about the same. The only differences I saw were that a few camera angles were slightly different and the graphics are a bit less pretty.

Rock Band 2 sold 1.7 million in 2008. I'm guessing the analyst just grabbed that number and matched the longer release window for TB:RB (since RB2 came out later in the year) against the industry decline/band-only aspect and called it even.

Please Harmonix do not pull a GH please stop your single band games with this release.. make the rest track packs... what i mean by pull a GH is this.. for example...

Within the last year or so.. the following games have all came out. GH world tour, GH metallica, GH smash hits, and GH 5 seriously this is serious fail the only way this could work is if you made it so the tracks could be exported all to one game such RB was for RB 2. Not only does this anger consumers do to feel the need to buy the latest game so therefore they are wasting money they also cannot play all their songs on one game. And finally but not by any means the least important reason not to do this.. is because Online all GH players are split between all of their 4-5 titles (just including newers ones not even counting 1 2 and 3) therefore this makes finding a match online very annoying due to lack of players on each title...

Well, I returned to work last night from my injury(work at Walmart). I was hoping to get the game a bit early, but no dice. You can play Guitar Hero III using just the standard Xbox controller. The triggers, bumpers and A button become the colours that are on the guitar buttons. I don't see what you mean about plugging anything in... the controller is wireless

They're freaking goregous. I actually had to watch these and the other versions side by side to make sure these weren't from the 360/PS3 version. The only differences (besides the ever so slightly less pretty graphics) were the camera angles in Twist and Shout and the water doesn't reflect off of the Beatles in Octopus's Garden.

You have to be careful with the "some place" perfect score reviews; they're like that one dude that gives a crappy movie a positive review just to get quoted. I'm sticking to the big guns like IGN and Gamespot (unless they have a background ad for the game).

I ignore any 100 which is why I couldn't remember where it came from. I think it was a newspaper. I wouldn't give that score unless I thought it was the best game ever made and could never be improved upon. Reviews don't matter as much as reviewers and fans of particular games wish/think, though.

Imagine when we see the final build! That is clearly an early demo (note that Paul and John aren't playing their instruments). While it kind of suits the mood of the song, I wouldn't be surprised to see the black and white section get jazzed up a bit when it gets released.

It's weird how well the Wii SV is selling. The Wii itself is suddenly #7 which makes wonder if the game is selling a ton of consoles. No Beatles RB's are in the top 50 of Most Wished which means people aren't waiting, they're buying. People without instruments seem to be opting for the LE bundle instead of getting RB2 bundle+game for $90 less.

It's clearly an early build. As well as John's minimal hand movements, Paul doesn't play the bass at all.

I'd also expect to see some gussying done to the black and white sections of the song. Maybe some Psuedoscape stuff done to it (something similar to Revolution)?

On another note, I asked the guy if my preorder would be available for pick up day of and he said that even if my actual bundle wasn't there he'd give me one of the ones in the store. That's true. I've mostly been watching the guitar videos; partly because they are the most plentiful and partly because it's likely to be the third or last story mode I tackle (I'm strongly considering vox-bass before doing it), so it won't be 'ruined' for me.

Interesting. Maybe when the Americans start getting their pre-orders from Gamestop, it will shed more light on it (presuming, of course, they are related promotions). While I can't get the free DLC for obvious reasons, I would love to get a surprise that we are getting some DLC on October 1 or maybe find get some hints about future album DLC (beyond the three we already know).

The Great Gatsby by way of Aeschylus. The best is yet to come, though. That fourth season... man, that's just deadly.

The whole thing with Prez got me - I love that guy (probably because he works closely with Freeman, my favourite character in the show). I have been told by friends that the fourth season is awesome, but I figured now is a good time to take a breather from it and come back to it in a little while.

Yeah, it was either that or the bundle. I already have all the CDs, so it's not as if I'm missing out horribly by not having them all today. And, yeah, the cost was an issue as well. Even though it will cost me about $40-ish more to buy them all separately, I'd rather spread the cost out then take it all in one hit.

By the way, I'm powering through Story Mode. I'm just about at the end of Shea Stadium (only need to do I Feel Fine). A few FC's and GS's, a few surprisingly tricky numbers. It is weird to play a game where some of the hardest 'levels' are first (I Saw Her Standing There is a a bit of an arm killer on bass). Plus, the Hofner takes some getting used to: it is much longer than the old GHIII LP I'm used to.

Nope, I'm a downstrummer. My fingers just don't work fast enough to be a decent downstrummer on all but the easiest songs.

The left arm also feels a bit sore as well: the neck of the Hofner is a lot longer than any RB/GH guitar to date, so you have to stretch a bit further.

I'm not sure on any deals, but as far as I know, they're selling four albums. Abbey Road, Rubber Soul, Help!, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Pricing is about 12 - 13 dollars I think.

Yeah, I figured up that buying a bun ch of the remasters at Target, then applying the gift cards toward the rest, the entire set would cost right at $150, tax included. If I could afford all of them, I'd definitely do it. I can only afford about 5 of 'em right now, though.
