I think some Beatles DLC for Rock Band 3 would be awesome, but it isn't going to happen. I'm looking forward to more solo stuff from John and Paul though. A track pack of 4 or 5 Harrison songs would be awesome too.

TBRB is for the hardcore in all honesty. That and money keeps it out of RB3.

"This game" sold more than Rock Band 3 or Guitar Hero's 5 & 6. There's no need for it to transfer over to the "main" platform, nor should it.

I was just listening to the new podcast, and apparently people are still buying the game and still buying the DLC. This is on top of last fortnight's podcast, when they revealed that The Beatles are the top-selling Rock Band DLC artist of all time. It doesn't mean we're going to get new DLC next week or anything (it's far more complicated than that), but the door is still open.

I wonder if it's legal to patch the game for pro mode. I mean, the songs are licensed for use in Beatles Rock Band. Could they sell a pro guitar or piano upgrade for existing songs?

On the other hand, even if it were legal, I doubt they would do it if it soiled their relationship with anyone.

I would export in a heartbeat. Yeah, the visual quality would be degraded, but the songs would be that much more accessible to me.

Besides, if the Beatles can be sung by those people on American Idol or on Glee I see no reason why I shouldn’t be able to sing their songs in Rock Band 3.

Again, this, my friend, is what separates the casual fans from the hardcores. Frankly I'm already sick of RB3 (even in spite of having many songs I like), but could still play TB:RB just about every day. :p

It's just not possible in the game's engine to patch in a full peripheral. The only solution would be to re-release the game entirely.

After working in the gaming industry and having released multi-platforms ... my most humble apologies for my rudeness I find that extremely difficult to believe. (not the Wii update, I got that... no wii updates)

It really would take just one programmer to enable the five keys on the keyboard ... nothing special ... Unless the programmers at harmonix are really just ... I mean I find it hard to believe that the programmers of harmonix would be so incompetent to program the engine so that you couldn't integrate future products like the use of the keyboard in place of the guitar or the bass. The code is already there no? It's in Rockband 3. You can play other instruments using the keyboard.

Come on guys, copy-paste. DONE. LOL. Have like maybe one tester test the game...

I love you guys so don't take my critisism a means of degrading the software or franchise. It's just that I bought the keyboard for $80, have downloaded as much download content as I can get my hands on that will let me play on the keyboard and the incompatibility frustrates me as it would anyone who just spent that much money. I'm going a little nuts here playing the same songs over and over as I look over the horizon at the compatibility list and see whole library out there of music I can't play because I didn't purchase the guitar.

I think it's pretty clear that Harmonix isn't focused on large patches that add in features - it seems like they're too busy charting new music.

Sincere apologies if I sound rude. The idea of different engines would be plausible if I was trying to get the keyboard to work on a PS2 game.

Thinking about it further, It's easier to make a hack than to spend a couple of million making a new game.

The only legitimate reason I can imagine that they can't port the keyboard over would be because of legal reasons. God knows what kind of legality they had to go through just to produce this game. Issues like this have happened in the past where certain controllers wouldn't function under certain IP's because of legal issues so at least as far as legal issues go, it's not a far-fetched idea. So it would be better to just make a new game. I agree.

Also, Legal departments are *******s, I wouldn't want to get under their skin either. Most of them get over paid and all they do is smoke weed all day.

I wish RB3 had everything that RB2 had, but also with the improvements that RB3 does have and a setlist that I wouldn't get bored with really fast (A bit more challenging).

My beef with RB3 is that the World Tour is no longer the game's main showcase, as it more or less was with the first two. It's almost an afterthought this time around. RB3 seems more about achievements and quickplay than anything else.

They probably could do it in the time allotted, either from making the keyboard, or simply not wanting to do a keyboard for 5 color play only. It got pushed back to the major franchise.

The polite response...We've heard nothing about upcoming DLC from HMX, and this far after launch it seems highly unlikely.

Personally, I've given up any hope on future DLC, but still enjoy playing the game once in a while.
