warranty requires receipt?

I tossed my receipt out figuring that i won't need it. Then i read a blog post about how the guitars seem to be having problems. I still have the trash bag tied up and sitting by my door... i was wondering if i'll need to dig it out (ew) if its necessary for replacement process.

me too and i was wondering the same thing. Actually, the wife tossed it!

No receipt is necessary. They don't ask for it at all when filling out the replacement request online.

Of course this could change after the game has been out for 60 days and you need to prove that your stuff is still under warranty.
