Who's watching Ghost Hunters Live right now?
Gah! Who's bright idea was it to put "The Miz" on the show!? That douche is ruining it!
It's getting worse by the second! Josh Gates is having a tough time keeping a straight face!

I think it's hilarious. That one girl scream and the voice saying "You're not supposed to be here" and something else was cool. I thought it was a recording of the previous time they were there, but when they were there before it said "Show some respect." But otherwise, this is ghost hunting for you. Not too much goes on throughout the night.

Oh I have no intention of turning the channel. At least they cut away from "The chick magnet" for the time being.

Watching it now. Pretty good so far. I do wish they would go back to Waverly Hills, but this place is good too

Their cameras keep getting interference, it's giving me a headache. Could be a ghost trying to draw out energy though oooOOOOoooo!

"The Miz" looks like a GH:WT character come to life.
I'm praying a ghost body slams his ass on live tv.

i've never been impressed with Ghost Hunters. Sadly, Paranormal State offers more insight and entertainment IMO.

I cannot begin to tell how on how much I hate Paranormal State. I'd get more entertainment out of watching the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre than Paranormal State, which is quite sad.

Yeah, you could see the green expand then condense. The normal camera views were pretty crazy too, you could actually see his jacket pull back. I heard that cough too.
As far as the other people seeing faces and figures and such, I think they're crazy.

That "You're not supposed to be here" was awesome... Scared the crap outta me because usually EVPs don't go through the TV cameras like that, and it was friggen LOUD.

Meh, it was alright. I had it on in the background while doing stuff. You can pretty much fast forward through anything that doesn't have Jay and Grant in it because nothing happens to anyone else.

Wasnt "the Miz" on real world or road rules and then tried to be a WWE wrestler and failed miserably?

If you call being on all 3 shows while being a former tag champion a failure then yes...

You suffered through him? Funny thing is I seem to have blocked him out. Honestly... I don't remember ever seeing him except for getting yelled at by Jay for talking about the Real World. Haha.

Yep. Ghost hunting all and all is a pretty boring event. Most the stuff that happens you don't even notice it until after the fact.

Ghost Hunters has garnered some of the highest ratings of any Sci-Fi Channel network programming. Ghost Hunters has attracted various critics and skeptics.

I've become so cynical of ghost shows. "You should not be here" sounded so fake - as in, it sounded static-y and like it came out of a two-way radio. I think someone planted that there so something WOULD happen because if stuff didn't happen... it would be a boring seven hours.
I couldn't stand the announcer. He was really irritating. And honestly - Jay and Grant are getting some interesting activity, so afterwards they took a commercial break and didn't go immediately back to them and instead went to Steve and Tango throwing a sack into a hole??? I really couldn't believe that one.
It does seem like lately Jay and Grant are the only ones ever catching any evidence - even on the regular TV show, the 'neat' stuff only ever happens to them. Like the K2-meter going crazy and responding to questions. I really think that meter is remote controlled from off-screen.
I watched the first two hours or so then stopped to do something else. I still have the rest on Tivo but I'm not sure if I'm going to watch the rest of it.
I did watch Ghost Adventures on Travel (another show I'm tivoing) - and I'm starting to like these guys' methods. They interlace the show with the EVPs that are found. They were doing Moundsville penitentiary, which ghost hunters had searched before. But they do a lot more provocation to try to get concrete things to happen, and they do catch some interesting and difficult to dispute evidence -- Although I do think sometimes they get over-excited about things that are happening. (Motion detectors going off one week - and there was nothing on camera but they said they found a shadow-figure....?? I rewound like 6 times and was like - wtf!)

I too had this going on in the background. Why do they have to bring wrestlers with them on their Halloween excursions?
This season of GH in particular seems fishy. Suddenly Jay and Grant are getting wildly solid communications via their KII meters (I agree that someone's controlling it with something in their pocket), and there's been a proliferation of impressive, tinny (as in produced by a hidden tape player) voice phenomena.
I know people have long suspected Grant of being a hoaxer, but if any of this stuff isn't legit, that probably means Jay is guilty as well. Here's hoping this is all coincidence and paranoia, and the boys are clean.
I also second all opinions that Paranormal State is worthy of any and all hatred. It is pretty entertaining (especially when Chip Coffey is running around 'feeling' stuff), but there's no emphasis on evidence and way too much focus on religious gobbledygook.
At least they're learning not to claim that they 'solved' each and every case they've been on. The recent, overly dramatic exorcism episode had an open ending. It's almost as if they're planning on following it up again whenever they need to boost ratings...
The Ghost Hunters' use of 'science' is sloppy and erratic, but at least they're not constantly burying silver medals and having egocentric battles with demons.

I think the wrestlers thing is from a deal when WWE signed a contract to put ECW on Sci Fi... Yeah its stupid but Elijah Burke was a classic don't forget that...

I honestly think that Jay and Grant have been feeding into maybe what Sci Fi wants them to do? In the beginning, it was very scientific and didnt seem very faked, but this last season in particular, its b ecoming very very rediculous. One episode, a couple weeks ago, they were doing the flashlight on the floor bit. Jay sets it on the ground, cameraman was looking at Jay's head for some reason and POOF MAGICALLY THE FLASHLIGHT WENT ON (of course it did, that's why the cameraman was pointed at Jay so someone could go turn it on). If the focus was on the flashlight, what on EARTH would the cameraman be focused on jay's head for?!

Yeah I really hope they come out and say the events were fake in the live show or have some very solid proof. I really do not want to see they show turn into some corporate shell of its former self.

Not to mention all of the 'personal experiences' they've had (like Grant's soldier face and various black masses) that could have been captured had they been wearing head cameras. Too much seems to happen just outside the frame, and as you pointed out the Pilgrim camera team will choose to focus on weird things.
There was an episode not too long ago that seemed very staged. Kris kept talking about how she wanted to experience something, and then suddenly the camera is set up for an awkward interview with her while some random door movement occurs behind her - perfectly blocked by her shoulder.
I just rewatched an older episode back in the days of Andy and Brian, and was marvelling at how much more effort they used to put into debunking. There's clearly not as much of an impetus to debunk situations now, and I think you're right - the money's flowing and SciFi wants them to make sure it stays that way.
But when you're only spending one night in places that have a limited amount of occurrences reported over many years, you can't expect a boo! every single night. Yet with all of these newer experiences, Kii conversations and crystal clear voices, this season's investigations seem a little too successful. I know it can be considered boring when nothing happens, but at least I believe that stuff more and will be willing to keep watching for the moment when they really get something promising.

I caught the bit with Grant's collar being pulled three times.
I couldn't put my finger on it, but something about that seemed really fake.
Their reactions didn't seem to fit something that should have been really significant.
No one got scared. No one raised their voices. Even when that odd British dude caught it on the thermal camera, he was just like, "Oh, your collar moved. I'm British and really weird looking." No reaction.
If something grabbed my jacket, THREE TIMES no less, I would be freaking out. I don't care how long I've been investigating.
