I mainly like to sing online just because in my opinion it's the rarest member to fill when playing with others. I just started realizing something after a couple of games where other players would complain that "man this singer we got sucks! We can't even hear him". People can't hear me sing. What? Is that true? Am I singing too quietly? My mic is working cuz i'm scoring great. Why can't the other guys hear me?

After doing some research in the Tech Support forum, i discovered that no one can ever hear you sing online! Whaaaa? Well, it boils down to mic lag issues or something.

So if you're singer and get complaints from your band mates saying they can't hear you, it's not your fault. It's just a design technicality. And for those non singing online band players, now you know why that vocal bandmate in your band can't be heard.

Yeah I would assume its just a lag thing or maybe just to get more people to sing. Of course you can hold down the chat button on the controller and sing and they'll hear you

Yeah it induces LAG into the game chat channel, per the P2P architecture. But if you have a decent connection, when singing just hold the LT or RT and then all can hear you. Found that you should also encourage band members to tweak XBOX chat to only TV playback as you'll blow out their ears in their head sets if singing through this method.

IT CAN BE VERY enlightening or VERY VERY DISTURBING....Some singers have made me want to "Run to the Hills"
