I got my Drums in March of 08 from Best Buy, and my red pad has snapped off with the drum still working through the wire. My mom did not get the warranty from them when she bought my bundle for some odd reason. I still have the receet I have pictures of where it broke. What should I do seeing how I am passed my 60 days?

Thank you in advance.

Wow. You drum way too hard for that to happen..I didn't ask why they broke I kinda figured that might have been the answer. I was asking what to do next. Is there any cheap mods I could do to salvage them seeing how the wire is still connected if I can't get them replaced?

From the pictures, it looks like a pretty clean break. I'd say you could probably get some model glue and stick it back together, then add wood or metal brackets to help hold it in place.

This probably isn't the best fix, but it's quick and pretty cheap. It would re-break easier than it broke in the first place, so be careful.

Same thing happened to my set - only with the green pad. Darn thing snapped right off. The plastic bracket holding the red and green pads is way too flimsy. I notice that the RockBand 2 drum kit pads are basically the same design BUT they've added a metal support bracket to the underside of the red and green pads - screwed right into the plastic.

I can find me a set of those brackets - problem solved!

BTW, I don't think that even the strongest epoxy glue will make a strong enough repair once the pad has completely snapped off like this. The only fix is going to be some kind of wood or metal bracing/bracket.

If you find anything, please share!

now is a good time to mod it since you are no longer under warranty. or if you lack modding skills (some of us do) you have to buy another drm set

yeah i agree with aznman. Since you aren't under the warranty, just mod or somehow fix the thing w/ some brackets otherwise your only choice is buying another damn 70 dollar drumkit D=
