I wanted to know if I could just save money and use any Microphone I have. I also have an electronic drum set, and wanted to know if that would work?

Mic likely if it's good enough quality (no XBL headsets), but I'm going to take a leap of faith and say positively no on the set. Sorry.

I wouldn't say it's a no, Harmonix have said they're looking into supporting midi drum kits.

I am holding out for Midi kit support. Not because I own one but just because I am a consumer whore and I love exspansionability.

Why would you care? It's not like you'd be playing a real set, you'd still just map out five triggers of your preference and have the rest be deadweight.

I dunno about that. You should be able to map out 1 button to correspond to 2 different pads on the drums. That way you could alrenate between hitting a tom or a crash depending on the symbol scrolling down the board.

Touche.

That thought slipped my mind, too bad I have an acoustic set.

Anyone know how the Mic will connect to the XB? It was not wireless in the video, so I guess it has a USB connection on it. Most Mics would have a mono Jack on them?

It's a very early build of the game with prototype peripherals (guitars arent even fenders). I dare say when it's released they'll be wireless.... at least i hope they will.

That video, according to HMX, is ye olden. Don't even consider talking about that when talking about the current progression of the game.

Also, Welcome to the Jungle isn't official, but I suspect statement to be more industry doubletalk than anything.
