I think different languaged songs would be a nice challenge for the rock band vocalists. Rammstein is a great german metal band with a nice selection that someone could put on the music store in rock band/rock band 2.

I generally do much better at songs with a foreign languages than I do songs with somewhat familiar lyrics in english. Mainly because you don't really need to know the words, all you need to do is listen to the background music and the singers voice to guess and match the pitch. So what will be even more challenging is a song with a different language that has a wide range of pitches.

I'm up for anything! Especially songs in German, Scandinavian, Italian, Icelandic, and Japanese!

I remember when that set was released. I liked all of those songs except for Tokio Hotel's (Ironically, the song was in English.) New Wave and Manu Chao remain favorites of mine, hopefully the bands from that pack make a return soon.

I don't think songs in different languages would make the vocals more difficult. I have a friend that can't speak anything other than English and he can basically fake his way through those songs pretty easily... kind of funny to watch/hear since he makes up his own lyrics. :p

What you'd need for 'harder' vocals is songs where the vocalist is all over the place in terms of pitch and are using their voice like an instrument and doing crazy things. 'Rock and Roll' by Led Zeppelin for example; or 'Freewheel Burning' by Judas Priest(not as impressive, but I'd love to see people trying to do that fast, high pitched rambling where he spews out a verse that sounds like someone hit the 'fast foward' button.)

I do think songs in other languages would be fun though.
