I just got Rock Band for PS3, and I am unable to download the patch that adds the option to export songs to the Hard Drive. I am connected to the internet, and have been able to download content from the Playstation Store (I just tested it by downloading the Mirror's Edge demo), but every time I get the patch to 3 or 4% downloaded, it fails. I've been trying every few hours since yesterday afternoon, but no luck.

I paid the $5 for the unlock key in the playstation store and downloaded it without any problems. The only problem I'm having is downloading the patch (I think it's 1.06) that adds the export option. Can anyone help me with this? Is there any way that I can download the patch to my mac and then transfer it to my PS3 with a SD card?

Just bumping this because it was pushed off the front page. I've tried another dozen times since yesterday (including once today, just 5 minutes ago), all with the same result. Has anyone else had a similar problem? This patch is the only thing that I'm unable to download.

I was able to get it by connecting my PS3 directly to the modem. I guess the router was the problem. I'm surprised that I didn't get a single response in here though, this isn't much of a tech support board. :(

I have been trying for over a month and still cannot get the 1.06 patch to download for me. I would like to transfer my songs but the system says it is downloading the patch then just restarts my ps3. I tried direct connecting with my modem several times. Any other advice?

hey guys sorry this is a pretty late reply. but i have the same problem for ALL my games and get so PO'd when any patch comes out cause then i cant play online, and my ps3 is much too far from any phone outlet for me to get a modem near it. anyways back on topic: i finally found one guy with his tiny post on a huge forum that saved my life.
go to network settings > media server connection > then hit disable. and voila it'll work. HOLY **** i was so pissed off at myself for never knowing that for the first year + that i had my ps3 and got pissed off all the time not being able to download any patches ever. i think i restarted my PS3 about 38+ times one day just to get a patch downloaded. i was worried i was gonna wreck it but its still running fine. anyways pass this information on! i seriously wanted to punch a hole in my ps3 all the time but now its so good after learning this. i dont know what the thing does though so im just gonna reenable it after i download my patches. i think it provides a bluetooth/wifi connection for the headsets and such
