Well for those infortunate americans who had broken guitars and defective drums I thank you sincerely. It sad that numerous guitar arrived DOA and several drums and guitars died after just few hours of play.

Has a Canadian, I hope that Harmonix will fix these issues before the release date in Canada (I really doubt it tough). And I sincerely hope that they will exchange those poor quality instruments with high quality instruments that we deserve all.

Thanks for this stress test (wich they failed) and I hope they'll hear your complaints before those peripherals hit our stores.

Have a nice day americans Fellows...

what? You fail at English no offense.

I doubt they will ship you a "new and improved" rock band.

I think Canada needs to get back on HMX's good side first. You know, after Sean got his life threatened and somebody else posted pornography of the homosexual variety, Canada has been a bit of a sore spot on these forums.

Just saying, our neighbors to the north should be nice to HMX, lest they decide to send you all peripherals that don't work in your igloos ;)

Also, you're welcome. I am enjoying my stress test!

I don't either, but I believe there will be better quality aftermarket peripherals soon. That should solve most of the problems. I would be willing to bet that Harmonix or EA are chewing out the manufacturers that made the instruments. I know they didn't want the instruments to break as often as they did. Just a guess, but that could be one of the reasons there are no individual instruments being sold just yet. I'm optimistic that way.

There goes the reputation we painstakingly built up over the past 140 years of being polite and apologetic. :)

Seriously, that was digusting the way some Canadians acted. In the grand scheme of things, it's only a game.

I don't know about those (the threat and the porn thing) but I think you got it the other way around. Harmonix/EA clearly showed canadians they weren't as important by pushing the release date by one month and Harmonix/EA, Sony and Microsoft have no problem at all overpricing DLC for people north of the border. So since we're getting shafted on the release date and on the DLC prices Harmonix could try and make thing betters with canadians, I know Microsoft and Sony won't.

Ok, well I'm Canadian and I know that the chances of us getting fixed peripherals is slim to none. If we do get them then we will likely be delayed till 08. I don't know about you but I'd rather get the game in December and take my chances of possibly getting faulty peripherals (at least you can always just get a replacement from EA).

You're very welcome for the stress test. We here in America are very cognizant of then general lack of opportunity, creativity, and competence in Canada when it comes to these matters (I can't quite recall the number of hit games that have originated from north of the border, but I am reasonable certain that the number is less than or equal to 1).

We also understand that one half of Canadians are busy pretending to be French while the other half are trying to keep the aforementioned half from seceding from the country, and that very few people in the provinces & territories have the time or inclination to be bothered with faulty gear. No one likes whiny kids, which is why the US has been gracious enough to treat its ******ed northern brother like the children we fully suspect them to be.

Also, if you can find time away from slurping down your maple syrup, hockey, bocci-ball, or kissing the buttocks of Her Royal Majesty the Queen... then maybe you will be able to try Rock Band out for yourself.... that is, assuming we get around to pushing any copies up there through customs.

In the meantime, please feel free to keep skipping across the border to purchase items that Canadians are too stupid, too lazy, or too bound by Quebec-sponsored Franco-laws to produce for themselves.

You are very welcome.

Well I was one of those bastard Canadians who protested the delay (mainly the general lack of info surrounding it). I drove accross the border yesterday and was the first person to buy one from the Calais ME Wal-Mart, they had 8 and hadn't sold one. I guess the demand wasn't what they thought it would be. Oh well works out good for me, I wonder if I'll ever play Mass Effect again (purchased the day before).

Ubisoft Montreal? hello?

Please don't start a country war, it's really easy to ***** from either side and I won't feed it. For the guy who just talked about the stress test, well I kind of agree. I'm sure he didn't mean to offend someone. It's just so frustrating to have to wait a month.. so I can say that it's a probably a rationnalisation and down deep, he really want the game NOW, even if people are having hardware issues. He just try to find positive in a negative situation..

Yes you can ***** about my english cause I'm also a french canadian.

Canada is a great, very well respected nation and comments like that are disgusting.

Wow, what an ignorant jackass.
Half and half? There's only one province who speaks french and they're not pretending. Their ancestors got there before your ancestors got where you are. They got many more generation there than you have.

As for number 1 hit games coming from Canada? How about Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, the Prince of Persia serie and Assassin's Creed? Those are all from "french" Canada to boot. There's also nearly all the Need for Speed, a lot of NBA Live, Bully, The Warriors, Painkiller, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, Def Jam Vendetta, the SSX serie, Super Mario Strikers, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Scarface, Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, etc.

I look at my videogames collection and most of them come from Canada and Japan, not from the U.S.

How about Electronic Arts, you know, the company which distibutes Rock Band, also opened a studio in Montreal, "french" Canada because of videogame creation talents there too?

Let's not even talk about political and social reputation throughout the world of Canada compared to the U.S.

Silly Canadians don't realize that they're just the second wave of the beta/stress test, so that RB consists of only the purest awesomosity when it's released here in Europe.
So yes, a big kudos to both Americans and Canadians for helping HMX give Europe a superior product.

I dunno man, I've not had any issues yet and we played the hell outta it for about 15 hours straight the other night. I think there are some QC issues but overall most people are working fine. My only complaint with the guitar is the tilt sensor and the singing the doot doot parts are stupid.
