Hey what's up guys. Just joined the forums here.
I was looking for metal/rock band from other countries. After hearing the DLC "New Wave" by Pleymo and finding out it was french I almost crapped some bricks. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone here knew of some good bands. I don't care where their from, I just want to expand my music library in a way my friends haven't done so yet. I rather that the music is done in the language of where it originates.
Thank you in advance.

Definately recommend envy and L'arc en Ciel, both japanese bands.
Also Sigur Ros are amazing, but probably not the style of music you are looking for.

Oh I forgot! Black Debbath is a norweigan stoner metal band who sing mostly in norweigan. They usually sing in norweigan, but their English language album, "welcome to norway" is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. It's like a tourist brochure for Norway. A really heavy tourist brochure. They remind me of black sabbath (of course) and karma to burn with a little bit of wolfmother.

But Sonata's vocals are in English. I'm pretty sure the OP is looking for bands with non-English vocals.

Yeah, I left out Nightwish because i can only think of a few songs that aren't in English. Well, most of their songs are in Tarjaese, which might as well be, but in reality, these are the only ones I know of:

Between Sweden, Norway, and Finland; the world's best metal music comes from Scandinavia.

I forgot about Denmark, which is bad considering that King Diamond hails from Denmark
