Is there a way to use the standard controller for character creation, or do I have to use the drums to build a drummer and guitar for guitarist? Applying tattoos using the drum kit made me want to throw the set through a wall...

Thanks!

I tried doing that. Once you disconnect the drum controller, the XBox will ask you to reconnect it.

I turned on my wireless controller, and it registered as player 2, not as player 1 where the drums just were.

So, yes, you have to use the drums when you're modifying your drummer, and you have to use the guitar when you're modifying your guitarist...

Another wonderful design choice, I guess to give that authentic "real guitarists get tattooed by people wielding guitars" feeling.

Unreal.

Come on, designers. How drunk did you guys get when you made some of these choices?

Let us use the standard controller for the finesse stuff. Please.

Yeah, I'd have to agree there, especially with the drum kit. Navigating through the menus to create a character with the drum kit is really really awful.

It does also kinda suck that if you create a character that is a guitarist, you can't also use that character as a drummer or vocalist.... What... you can't be multi-talented?

Doing two instruments at once (i.e. drums & vocals, or guitar & vocals) is pretty hard as well.

Just use the controller on the drums, not the pads. I had no problem.

You can make chnges using the D-pad and the the letters on the drum, it wasn't abig problem, the D-pad is alittle stiff but no biggie.
