Hello chums. Being that this seems to be a fad lately, I figured that I would construct my own list of songs that I would feel could fare well as the Rock Band 3 setlist. I have tried hard to include songs from each decade and from multiple genres, so I hope that you all enjoy. (126 songs in total; more on-disc songs than that of RB2)

Also, I realize that about THREE of these songs are already in GH:WT. I took that into consideration, but I just can't avoid it; some songs I just NEED (and are great additions to the game as well). At least it doesn't copy 20 of the songs *Cough*ACTIVISION*Cough*

Comments, feedback, etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading! : ]

Black sells that setlist, man. Amazing Pearl Jam choice.

Personally, i'd change the Incubus and Metallica songs, but other
than that, it's good.

Now return the favor and comment on my setlist...unless you don't want to.

Pretty amazing list. Seriously lacking in indie rock, but good nonetheless. Throw some Modest Mouse, The National and Dinosaur Jr in there and all is well. Maybe a Muse song as well, seeing as how just about anything by them would be fun to play. No One Knows is a bit of a boring choice for Queens Of The Stone Age. I know the version in GH was a terrible cover, but something completely new would be better I think.

Maybe:
Blame It On The Tetons or Dashboard - Modest Mouse
Mistaken For Strangers - The National
Grab It - Dinosaur Jr.
Supermassive Black Hole or Stockholm Syndrome - Muse
The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret or I'm Designer - Queens Of The Stone Age

Or something like that.

I was debating between No One Knows and Everyone Knows That you are Insane. TLAoKaS is a good song as well, but I just wasn't feeling it.

I was actually trying hard to include Indie music, but after I put the rest of the songs on the list, I just gave up.

Maybe the indie songs could become the 20-free DLC? : P

(I FORGOT A MUSE SONG. SORRY.) : [

22) Star Power - Sonic Youth
Head Down - Nine Inch Nails
Last One in the World - Blondie

Star Power - ironic and appropriate, just the sort of metasong that HMX loves.

Head Down - ughhh. I disagree with anything from The Slip. We've already got NIN b-sides up the buttocks, how about some more hits please?

And lolwhut at the Blondie pick. I guess I just really like Atomic, and really don't like their final album.

Oooh, thanks for the descriptive feedback. I'll address them all individually

1) Star Power - Exactly why I picked it. Great band song AND it rubs it in GH lovers faces

2) Head Down - I actually only picked a song from The Slip because it would be incredibly easy to put into the game. Trent Reznor put a Creative Commons license on the entire album, thus making every song terribly cheap (due to lack of many royalties). It would allow for HMX to spend some bigger bucks on, perhaps, a HIT Nine Inch Nails song? : P

3) Last One in the World - I'm not only trying to pick hits, you know? Although "The Curse of Blondie" was a pretty laughable album as a whole, LOitW is a VERY appropriate pick for this game. We already have three older Blondie songs anyway. HMX likes to get ALL of an artist's music known (which I guess would include songs old and new)

You have no Skynyrd....

Sorry mate, not a huge Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. I was debating putting Free Bird on there, but I think that that will be better as DLC

But including Breaking Benjamin, Billy Talent, and Audioslave made up for that.

This is an excellent setlist. It seems realistic too, since there are several currently unaccounted for songs on there that I suspect are being saved for future games (Don't Look Back, Come As You Are, I Can See For Miles)

Too many? 7 songs is too many for the 50's?

And I have 28 songs from the 70's; more than any other category.

Therefore, I don't see much sense in your statement.

Well, we are positive that Come as you are will be in Rock Band in the future. As for the other two songs, well, I don't expect to get either Boston or The Who again any time soon. But thanks for the compliment

Well, I find November Rain to be an epic piece. After a slow beginning, it ends up becoming a hardcore Rock-Fest.

Yes, I will admit that the first few minutes could quite possibly become tedious. There are obviously other GnR songs in existence, but I was trying to stray from the norm'

I could always change it to Sweet Child O' Mine (it's my favorite GnR song)

no song from that album is unknown, but Rocket Queen wasnt released as a single, and its not listed on every thread like this (like Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O' Mine)

Haha, sorry. I didn't enjoy the album to begin with, and the band just isn't the same without Slash's collaboration.

Regardless, other good choices that are NOT on AfD include Live and Let Die, Back off *****, and Perfect Crime

Haha, sorry. I didn't enjoy the album to begin with, and the band just isn't the same without Slash's collaboration.

Regardless, other good choices that are NOT on AfD include Live and Let Die, Back off *****, and Perfect Crime

Back off *****, haha, its funny because its so bad
Izzy Stradlin actually said (in a GNR biography i read the other day) that Back off ***** was the worst GNR song he'd writen
and yes, its not the same without Slash

I was really just pulling songs out of a hat. I would never choose Back off *****.

Maybe something off of Use Your Illusion Dos?
