Ok, so everyone has been posting their own personal set lists with their own personal styles and tastes. I think what Rock band will do and needs to do is involve classic rock with new rock and a nice blend of mainstream with also rock that is just plain good and fun to play.
I don't like all the bands I am going to list, some of them I hate, but I think we are all in agreement that with the good, will come the bad. And we all need to band together and agree that plain and simple we just want Rock band to keep giving us content to download because we love this game. SO, my suggestions are listed below, I tried to give everyone something they would like and post about to keep this thread alive. So, if there is at least ONE band I listed that you enjoy, please, post and keep this up so the developers read this and know that we want some more great rock music.
Modern Mainstream Bands Needed
Taking Back Sunday (for the punk kids)
Mars Volta (or At the Drive In) (just amazing guitar)
Green Day (punk and mainstream kids)
Marilyn Manson (metal kids)
Slipknot or Mudvayne (make the crazy kids happy)
Rob Zombie or White Zombie (fast music, and metal)
Tool (maybe one song, they can be sort of depressing imo)
Artic Monkeys (amazing band, UK knows it, US is getting there)
Muse (don't really need to say much, need em)
Weezer ( can't have enough)
Foo Fighters (can't have enough)
Sum 41 (some catchy songs, would be fun)
Bloc Party
JEW
Oasis
RHCP (too many good songs, need more than 1)
The Bravery
Rage Against the Machine (would be fun to rap/sing to)
System of a Down (would make metal kids happy, challenge to sing)
Breaking Benjamin//Afi/All That Remains/Godsmack/Linkin/Finger Eleven etc (all sort of crap, but put one of em to make their fans happy)

Classic Rock- I know these games are for mainly younger audiences. And I am only 21 years old, but my Dad (thank God) brought me up on classic rock, and we need these bands or artists.

I could go on forever, but I think I made my point. We all have to agree that we ALL want MORE MUSIC. And that we all won't like every song, but I think we can all get to like each others music a little more if we hear it and get a chance to play it.
