I'm all for diversity. The thing I like with Rock Band (and mostly, it's vast DLC library) is that it covers all sort of different music from different decades of rock. So I'm with you here.
Some Chuck Berry would be awesome. :)

It'd be awesome as hell, but I'm not sure if HMX could use a Chuck Berry master.

I would love some good Oldies. I think RB2 took a step in the right direction with Bob Dylan. Chuck Berry would be a welcome addition and is usually included in most guitarists’ lists as a major influence.
Elvis would be fun; I already can see people imitating his dancing while they sing. Buddy Holly, Bill Haley and Richie Valens are all early influences in rock and roll and would be fun rockin’ ditties. I have been waiting to get my funk on, I got my cape and I am ready to sing some James Brown.

The only problem is most of those recordings were probably only recorded on two tracks. I would love it, but anything from the 50's is pretty much impossible.

You are probably right. I would be satisfied with some good covers though.

I think that's the route you're going to have to go to get songs like these, really awesome covers. Either by Harmonix or other artists. Which I think would be good, if just to point out that "yes, there were some pretty good songs way back then. Listen, won't you?"

Well, there might not be tracks, but Chuck is still alive and could re-record Johnny B Goode....
