I've been asked not to create so many Negative thread or risk being Banned.

Holy Crap.

I use the same Tag there as i do here..

If you guys get a chance, look up my Post and see if anything Ive said there would warrant such a reply from a Moderator.

Oh well.... I was stating facts.

They wanted the TRUTH and They cant HANDLE the TRUTH.

EA is worse. They're planning on making it so if you say something they don't like on their forums they will ban you from playing all of the EA games you've purchased.

Think about it. You call someone a name in their forum and then go play some madden and it won't work.

That changed a while ago, you'll just be banned from the forums only and are able to access other account information and continue playing their games online.

By the way, I do not think Neversoft can ban you from xbox live/psn.

I don't think you said anything over the top, but in all fairness, none of the threads you made were positive. I don't think making 9 threads in the span of 3 hours helped your cause either.

Yes I believe that's called a troll

... kind of weird though, you only defend Guitar Hero and it's bi-products including the forums here.

Just sayin'

I'm shocked to learn that the Guitar Hero forum has mods, and that they are actually actively involved in moderating.

Of course it seems that even those active decisions are rather crappy. Unless 'don't be negative' is a forum rule, I don't think threatening a user with a ban because of that is the way to go. Asking them to improve their behavior, sure. And if they are trolling, call a spade a spade and tell them to quit trolling, but don't complain about them 'being negative'.

Just one more reason why our moderation team and community are that much more awesome, regardless of the quality of either game ;).

There. You can thank me later :)

(Wait, that's no longer that surprising...)

I agree 100%. Now can I get a new title under my name, say Magician of Modest Mouse or Champion of Chimpanzees

An internet cookie for you, sir.

If you'd ask those who bear a custom title, you'd know the process to get one is far more extensive and degrading ;)

I'm not even sure how the normal titles get applied, let alone how to get a special one. Once I figure it out I'll begin my campaign to have mine say GOD.

You don't choose the title, the title chooses you.

As for those wondering about how to get them, you obviously missed my birthday competition, and therefore my birthday. Shame on you. You'll have to wait another year now. :D

Bonez is simply someone who appreciates cunning linguists ;).

I've learned to shut my grammar/spelling Nazi off online, it keeps me slightly more sane.

Except when a mistake leads to a pun. Then I'm all over it like HMXSean at an open bar.

Nothing in the RB forum has interested me as of late.

I'm waiting for Texas Flood and the awesomeness of No Doubt.

I participate in the wishlist forum as well.

However, agreed I do tend to chime in on the general forum to provide a contrasting opinion regarding the Guitar Hero franchise.

Maybe it was your phrasing. Sometimes criticism posts can come off really hostile depending how you structure them.

The difference between trolling and a legitimate criticism is nothing but a bit of tact and phrasing.

It is really to their own detriment though if they want to censor negativity... negativity at its core comes from people who are fans of the game but may disgaree with some aspects or decisions.

Degrade away. I am ready and willing to do anything for a custom title and good luck degrading me any lower than what my wife already has.

It can definitely be tough. On another forum I am a mod and for a few months we were plagued by this kid who just complained or wasted space all the time. He rarely actually broke the rules though, and so there wasn't much we could do to him without making it look like we were just all out to get him (which we were). Eventually he took it too far in one of his threads and openly attacked one of our longstanding members, which earned him a week long ban. Being immature he decided that he should make a new account and spam every post he could saying he was going to make the forum unusable unless we let him back in and made him an administrator, THAT earned him a permanent IP ban.

While being negative is not against the rules, and the mods may have been somewhat improper with their message, no one on a forum likes a guy who is ONLY negative. Even when the points you bring up are correct, if you are totally unwilling to move beyond them and add something to the community, people probably won't be apt to listen to you.

I haven't spent a lot of time on the GH forums, but I looked around the other day. There are a lot of jerks. I know the GH franchise has turned into the "hardcore" rhythm game franchise, so I guess that's why. Maybe the only people still loyal to GH are of the hyper-competitive d*ckwad persuasion.
There are some jerks on here, but not nearly as many.
