You know this?

For me itīs Led Zeppelin. Theyīre one of my favourite bands, I have all their CDs and I really love them but I just canīt listen to the CDs too often. I donīt know why though. I find the music so awesome I only hear the CDs on special occasions, e.g. after writing a hard exam, so I listen to every album like once in a year or something. It seems the music is too good for everyday life.

The funny thing is, itīs only for Led Zeppelin. Other albums I totally love I hear every two weeks or of my favourite band, the Foo Fighters, I hear every album at least once in a week for like half of my life or something.

So has anyone else such a band or am I the exception?

Grateful Dead. One of my favorite bands of all time. Have to be in just the right mood to listen to them though, lol.

I don't think I have a band like that, but I remember reading an Eric Clapton interview where he said that when he started listening to Robert Johnson he could only listen to a song or two at a time because it was too emotionally intense.

I at one time listened to nothing but Tool for months, and since then I've only been able to listen on special occasions. So once every two years, probably XD I still know all the words and everything though, oddly enough.

I don't think that really fits in the same category.

I don't have music that's "too good" to listen to, honestly.

My Bloody Valentine. Loveless is my third favorite album of all-time, but I don't feel like I'm worthy enough to listen to it all the way through unless I'm "in the mood".

Alice in Chains. It's really hard to find a song that I don't like by them. They are impossible to hate. Jar of Flies is a perfect album for easy listening.

I wouldn't say anything is too good to listen to, just easy to get burnt out on. All the big classic bands for me, Floyd, Zeppelin, Beatles, Hendrix, Janis, ect... There are only 3 modern bands that fit this category for me, Tool, Kyuss, and Monster Magnet. I love all of these bands, but if I listen too them too often I will get burnt out on them and not wanna hear it for a while. Actually there aren't any bands I listen to on a daily/weekly basis anymore, I used to buy a cd and put it on repeat for hours if I liked it. I guess I like enough good bands nowadays that I don't have to listen to the same thing very often. On a side note, bands I do listen to often lately are AiC, QotSA, and Keller Williams

I love Pink Floyd, but I don't listen to them very often. Once a month at most.

Sometimes it's good not to listen to your fave stuff all the time... you get all caught up in another band or whatever and you kind of forget how kick ass the I dunno... BEATLES are... the you throw in Revolver and it's just like... you can really loose yourself in it, you know?

Maiden. Have all their albums, and I listen to them almost every day.
