Anyone have any recommendations for a good place to get a drum throne.
Sitting in the folding chair just doesn't have that Rock Band feel

Unfortunately, I've seen A LOT of indie rock bands having to resort to the folding chairs :(
I'd check out the Musician's friend for that request.
In addition, who's got a good recommendation for a stick holster?

I didn't realize it until I saw a youtube video, but there is a stick holster built into the drum kit. At the top of the 2nd and 3rd drum, you pull out two plastic pieces and it holds your sticks.
About the throne, is there any real advantage to using a throne? I've been using a hair and I like to be able to sit back for the few seconds I'm not playing.

Just go to Guitar Center or any music store that sells drums. I have a drumset so I already have a throne. I think I paid $30 for it a few years ago. It might be worth it to spend a little more and get a nice one with nice padding. Mine is very basic and starts to hurt my ass after prolonged sitting lol.

I bought a pretty nice, solid generic drum throne two days ago at Guitar Center for ~$32, and it's padded and comfortable to sit on.

The big advantage is that you can adjust the height... and it doesn't have armrests like a lot of desk chairs do.

Yes! You are right that's what those protusions are for! Good good observation! Well that's good for functionality. But obviously not very Rock Band authentic! Thanks for pointing that out though.

Here is the one I bought 4 years ago. This is probably the one DrEvyl666 has as well.

It's definately your best bet. It's worth $30. Plus if you decide to get a real kit you'll already have a throne. I guarantee you'll like it better than a chair.

Yup. It's pretty solid, I have no complaints and the price was right. Not to mention that it folds down and is a lot easier to cart around than a chair.
