So, my buddy bought the whole game and beat it on easy mode for solo career (yeah we live too far away to jam). And then he tells me no Metallica songs were available during his whole solo career. So I have a a couple questions to ask the community before I pony up 200 bucks for this game.
1. Are there different song lists for WTM vs Solo and therefor Metallica and other great songs aren't available unless you got friends to play with?
2. Why buy this game if you can't play with a group? What about this game is worth 200 bucks for solo? And don't tell me to get friends as this game is limiting its market with being a group centric game. Just look at D&D online and it's failure due to group focus.

1. The same songs are available in both, but not all of the songs are available in Easy solo tours. You have to play at least on Medium to get all of the songs.
2. If you never, ever plan to play the game with more than one person then you are better off just buying the game and later a drum set if you want to play drums (assuming you already have a guitar). It's meant to be a multiplayer game, although personally I enjoy the solo modes very much as well.

I think a few songs you wont get unless you play on a higher difficulty
And you can play with him online and stuff (online quick band, 4 people)

Thanks for your responses. I guess that makes sense that you'd have to play harder modes for better songs.
The WTM is awesome but isn't playable online and it takes a long time to play through and so to always have to get multiple people together to play seems like quite a task. I sure hope they do a WTM for solo and online WTM for multi. If they did then this game would be hands down the best music game out for solo and multi player.

The only Metallica song that'd be in career is Enter Sandman. The rest have to be downloaded from XBL Marketplace or PSN Store.
