I was reading a yahoo review and it said that you could use your XBOX live headset to sing into it is this true? and if it is how would you play the parts where you have to hit the mic?

Yes it's true.

And you don't HAVE to hit the mic on those parts, it's only a bonus...but I noticed it to make a "tap" sound into the mic, it registers.

Oh that's cool thanks now we can be a full band minus the Bass player.
