The article (http://kotaku.com/gaming/feature/the-guys-behind-the-rock-band-music-325768.php)

I'll let you guys read it yourself, but I want to point out this part:

We are building relationships with bands, including Led Zeppelin. We've been talking to them for over a year and there's a good chance that they'll come aboard Rock Band eventually.

Please let eventually be next year!! Keep at 'em, Harmonix!

Oh my, that little bit will just stoke the fires of the Ultimate Setlist board.

As long as ACDC doesn't get in the game.

ACDC is good, but it will be a pain in the ass to scream the whole song.

Whole Lotta Love, Going To California, Rock and Roll, etc. One can pray.

You can't have rock band without AC/DC and Led Zepplin.

This would be HUGE in the entire industry. To my knowledge LZ has almost never givin out rights to their songs to ANYONE.

School of Rock

Hell, I even caught that movie "Small Soldiers" on TBS the other day, and it had "Communication Breakdown".

So, it's far from unprecedented, but a Zeppelin pack would be glorious nonetheless. AC/DC are a must, as well, and you wouldn't need to scream, really. Do you really need to growl Hetfield?

I still want to see that massive list of songs they compiled.

QFT amigo, but I did use the term 'almost'. It's pretty common industry knowledge that it's a pain in the rear to get LZ to license their stuff, but I do thank you for pointing out those instances, I didn't know about them. Thanx!

Led Zepplin? Who are they? I've never heard of them.

;)

I'm very stoked to hear that, but that's the same crap we heard from Huang about Guitar Hero 3.

Long before Rock Band came out, the audio team compiled a spreadsheet with 3,500 songs on it for possible inclusion in the game.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT SPREADSHEET PLEASE.

If they get AC/DC i'm hoping they get AC/DC W/ Bon Scott

And, awesome! They might get Led Zeppelin!

Dear God.

If Harmonix pulls this off, I will personally come to Massachusetts and kiss everyone's feet.

Woo, I need a change of pants just thinking about Zep making it into the game.

Am I the only one happy to hear the Beatles might make it!? I'm going to be broke with buying 18 Tracks of Grateful Dead and hopefully Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Beatles.

A year? What do they want? All of Harmonix's first born children? In game advertising? (though having the song in the game is technically advertising) Themselves in the game? Gotta think we're long past money issues with EA and MTVs money.
